The Coachella Lineup Is Here

Talking about Coachella makes me sound hip. I like posting the lineup because I've never heard of half these acts and I'm not ashamed to admit that. Do I get extra cool hipster points for looking at property near Coachella Valley to rent as a vacation home for passive retirement income? (I really love the Palm Springs area).

Seriously, Beyonce, Eminem and The Weeknd are all great headliners. Beyond them, I don't know what I would do to kill time at this fest... but that's okay, I'm not the target demo. I'd rather save my cash for something I'd really enjoy. You know, M3 is going down in Columbia, Maryland on May 4 and 5. I'm glad that fest is back to May and not April. Too bad we'll probably all be dead from nuclear fallout by then, but hey, if not - let's plan on listening to hair metal in Maryland!

Beyoncé....yuck! Only thing worse than hearing her attempt to sing, is having to look at her. Eminem and the weekend would be cool, tho.

Only one REAL Rock & Roll band listed here, who also happen to be my #1 Pick on my Top Albums of 2017 list!

To find out who it is, go to Comments on Allyson’s previous recent post listing her Favorite Albums of 2017!

Oh, and don’t forget to post your favorites of 2017 in Comments there, too!

Talking about Coachella doesn't make anyone sound "hip" or "cool"... it makes you look pathetic, & attention whoring, desperately seeking the approval of someone who you don't even know.

Speaking of Tragically unhip, outside of 5 acts over 3 days, there's not a act on those bills that could draw 300 people.

Sounds like perfume. “Coachella, the scent of the terminally unwashed”....

Ace makes a good point ... This festival is suffering from the same self-inflicted wounds as M3, the “unhip” antithesis of Coachella, has encountered over the last few years.

What’s most obvious about both Coachella and M3, is how the promoters are really cashing in. They go from booking a compelling mix — M3 when it had a REAL headliner with Scorpions and Cinderella, Coachella with Guns N’ Roses and The Damned to much less impactful acts.

Though, Coachella is the bigger and better promoted of the two, they both share a new trait in festivals until one or both step up — They’re both yawners.

Well, except for Coachella having my #1 from my “Top Albums of 2017” list in Comments of Allyson’s post of the same title. Don’t forget to click back and post yours, as well!
