Dee Snider Is Everywhere

Welcome to October and the final quarter of the year. I can't believe it's October... and it will be snowing before you know it (yuck).

It seems like Dee Snider is everywhere right now. He just released a new album and now another one is coming. Well, it's a reissue, but still. earMUSIC will release S.M.F. – Live In The USA on October 5. That album was originally released in 1997. Click below to pre-order.

I find it very interesting that a 1997 indie live record is getting a re-release on a bigger label with real distribution. It seems every band from that era can dig out a "Latest and Greatest" or "Live" type record from that time period. I wonder if a resurgence for them could mean blowing the dust off these old and put of print releases. Maybe Frontiers can go back and put out some of these forgotten records released during the Nu Metal and Grunge era. It could just be that Dee is smart in business and owns his masters, but it's a good idea.

I would love to see forgotten records like Bulletboys "Acid Monkey" from 1995 finally get a proper release. Very solid..

Solo Snyder is everywhere except in my collection. Here’s another one for the scrapheap of misguided Metal projects.

Snider is releasing an album that never gained traction when it was first released? Wow. New math, I guess.

01 What You Don‘t Know Sure (Can Hurt You)
02 The Kids Are Back
03 Stay Hungry
04 Destroyer
05 I Am (I‘m Me)
06 You Can‘t Stop Rock ’N‘ Roll
07 Medley: Come Out And Play, The Pack, I Believe In Rock ’N‘ Roll, Be Chrool To Your Scuel
08 We‘re Gonna Make It
09 I Wanna Rock
10 Wake Up (The Sleeping Giant)
11 Burn In Hell
12 Shoot ’Em Down
13 Under The Blade
14 We‘re Not Gonna Take It

Not a bad set, though. The sort of music he should be releasing today if he wants to re-release it two decades later.

Sidebar: "Come Out And Play" should stand alone. And #10 is a massive song.
