New England Rock Fest Announces Lineup

There's a new rock fest for us to talk about today! The New England Rock Fest is set for August 17 and 18 at Maximum Capacity Sports Bar in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Headliners are Firehouse and Eric Martin (of Mr. Big). Tickets are on sale now and it's $30 bucks for per day. The undercard band are up and comers. This fest has potential - we'll keep an eye on it.

Another total side note: HBO last night - season finale of the show Barry.

One scene while the Chechen gang is loading their arsenal to take on another drug gang, I believe the close captioning says (men chattering) (rock music playing) - although it's not just rock music, its.... Gorky Park - Bang !

Which I thought of... what the heck happened to Gorky Park. ? :)

There are a couple of "hair" jokes lingering around the edges of this post. But I won't go there. Don't want anyone to "wig" out!

Seems like a cheap fun couple of evenings . . . if I lived around the block from the venue. But, as an event for locals, I hope it does well. Never heard of Kivel Records before. Any posters here know anything about them, as they are the hosts for the event.

Gorky Park stopped doing much beyond one-offs around the turn of the century. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, though, GNR. Hadn't thought of them in ages.

If this was close-by, I'd consider going, but 4 hours away from me, I'll pass. I'm amazed how far away people travel for M3. I'm fortunate that M3 it's less than 3 hours.

Either way I wouldn't be around to attend, I'm putting on my parental hat and taking the kids on a Disney World vacation during this festival.
