'Slide It In' -- 35 Years Later

Like Whitesnake, I can't believe it's been 35 years since Slide It In was released. Now the band is celebrating that amazing album with a special re-release package. There's a 6 CD/DVD set. You can also get it on LP and of course digital. You can pre-order now - there's a link to that through the Facebook below. Happy Friday everyone. Make it a great day and try to stay warm.

I wonder how Coverdale feels now about removing most of Jon Lord's parts from the AMerican mix. the UK version of Hungry for Love has a full Jon Lord organ solo that was stripped from the American mix, and even the Lord stuff that did make it to the American mix was buried under the other instruments. they also buried a lot of the natural acoustics of Cozy Powell's drums in reverb. At least it looks like the whole UK album will get a proper remastering. The 30th Anniversary edition had most of the UK album, but not all of it.

i’m a bit tired of rebuying all these albums, but i’m so in on this one, much better than the 25th anniversary release.

What Bob said . . . and I said it a few months ago too.

But. stu, why is this better than the previous re-release? You have both takes. Clearly, the original is the best.

I am all about extras. But this feels a bit bloated to me. Would you buy the additional stuff as a stand alone? If not, you are just buying it again, for more money. If so, enjoy (and I mean that sincerely).
