L.A. Guns Release 'Stay Away'

L.A. Guns will release a new album called The Devil You Know on March 29. The first single is called "Stay Away" and you can hear it below! This L.A. Guns is rocking my world. The Missing Peace was a great album and The Devil You Know will be awesome too. I dig it.

You really cannot go wrong with Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis together. Great songs and standout performances.
My only complaint here is the sound of the actual recording... hopefully this is just ultra-compressed for youtube and CD will sound much better.
Except LOVE L.A. Guns!!!
Despite all the missteps ...
The story can be told in the de-evolution of their album covers, “CUTS”, being a low point and then nice covers coming back, i.e. “Hollywood Forever” and then complete bad*ss rebirth once Tracii got back on board ...
When these guys dwindled out just like Gn’R in the mid-90’s a lot of it had to do with bad marketing and too many line-up changes.
Makes you wonder if both of these bands had stuck it out, to what level they may have been successful despite the influx of Grunge.
“Hollywood Forever” was decent but that could have had a lot to do with Andy Johns producing and getting superior songwriting out of Lewis.
“The Missing Peace” is even better and that’s because of the creativity and sheer raw talent of one Mr. Tracii Guns.
Now if Phil Lewis could just find a better wig and Tracii Guns a better look than the Jimmy Page beard circa ‘71.
Oh, and get Riley and Nickels back!
p.s. And HIM, you may consider Axl Rose’s forray into AXL/DC lightly, but I would hardly call getting high six figures per show and having a vocal coach on every tour date and giving Brian Johnson more than a run for his money, as in, delivering a superior performance OVER Johnson. The proof is Angus being able to retune his guitars higher to perform certain Bon Scott songs for the first time in 30 years, let alone blowing Johnson off the stage in his sleep on the post Bon Scott material. Ya wanna Bring Back Glam AND have a hit, high profile AND kicka*s Super Bowl Half Time Show?! Get Guns N’ Roses play a couple of tune then be the “house band”, if you will and have Angus come out like they did at Lalapalooza and then, while keeping Angus on stage, have Tyler & Perry come out and do “Train Kept A Rollin’” and then bring out the reconstituted RUN DMC to do “Walk This Way” as a grand finale! Tell me THAT wouldn’t blow the crowd AND Adam Levine (who are they kidding?) away!!! It’s a legit idea because they play the stuff all day long, every game, every Sunday during football season all over the country and Mondays and Thursdays, too. Hell, bring out Page, too, for “Train Kept A Rollin’, too! I can’t believe they’ve never pondered something like this ... It must be Goodell or some other as*holes within the decision making apparatus. These guys are gonna be dead and we’ll have nothing to show for it except their well loved music, widely accepted by fans and synonymous with NFL games, echoing in the stadiums.
Great song, buying the record day 1.
Lewis/Guns are always a good combo.
Sound is terrible. I hope it sounds better on CD.
And as far as a Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Super Bowl Halftime Show, kids of all ages would love it as I know so many people who’s kids aged 10 and up are into Gn’R and AC/DC.
The idea would be to deliver a package of the songs everyone’s heard over the sound systems at all the games for the last 20+ years only now everyone gets to see them performed live.
I thought of an absolute corker, too, because it’s probably the song that’s been played the more than any other in the stadiums! ... Have Ozzy come out and play “Crazy Train”!
Nice repurposing, though!
p.s. Shawn! Do tell your favorite albums of 2018! We missed your recommendations this year!

I have no issue with AC/DC LLC. doing what they think is best. And, yes, it pulled good numbers. And, yes, they played the old stuff. I am just no longer a fan of how that band operates, even if I am somewhat happy that they might be around for another go around with perhaps Rudd and Johnson and, who knows, Axl too?
They handled the Johnson situation properly as a business. But I don't listen to AC/DC to get hints on how Wharton would do things. I still buy the facade. But I just don't buy the product.
You’ve definitely got the brain, now if you can just get what it’s between to work for you. I saw ‘em in Atlanta with AXL and, as I said before, it was one of THE most incredible shows I ever saw, better than the 8 times I saw ‘em with Johnson! Had you gone to see AXL/DC live, you would probably be singing quite a different tune.
