Happy Halloween From Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper helps us celebrate Halloween (of course). From the notes on this playlist:

"To help celebrate the Halloween season, I wanted to share some of my favorite songs about the supernatural, the unexplainable and the downright frightening. Think of it as your Halloween playlist, whether you’re tricking or treating this year."

I listen to a lot of Alice Cooper during the Halloween season, I listen to him a fair amount in any season but Halloween especially. About 5 years ago I came across a 10 track cd with novelty horror and Halloween music from the 50's and 60's, a cd that didn't include the all too played Monster Mash or The Munsters theme. I searched the genre and found a treasure trove of vintage Halloween themed music from that era, an era that was infatuated with horror and sci-fi movies. That takes up a lot of my Halloween themed playlists. I love the irony of these rockabilly, blues, surf sounding bands singing about the supernatural and all theghoulish characters we grew up fearing. If at all interested, here's a list of the discs I have that's quite comprehensive of the genre. Halloween Nuggets : Monster 60's a Go-Go. These Ghoulish Things : Horror Hits for Halloween. Mostly Ghostly : More Horror for Halloween. Trick or Treat : Music to Scare Your Neighbors. DEAD! The Grim Reapers Greatest Hits.
