New Def Leppard Figures Coming

Happy Halloween!

Def Leppard will get the Funko Pop! treatment soon. These little figurines are cute - they come in a limited edition box with the Union Jack and Def Leppard logo, too. No, it doesn't look like Steve Clark is included.

Why does Phil have a shirt on? Lol If I were designing these i would have Joe in the iconic Union Jack sleeveless tshirt from Pyromania days.

I see they made Phil his actual height!

Agreed, Kixchix ...

The only one that really captures the spirit of Def Leppard is Rick Allen’s.

Surprised Funko missed those design cues, as well, considering their execution of the Ramones and others. My ex-lead guitarist’s ex-girlfriend (haha!! But for real!) gave him a Funko Joey Ramone figure.

When my niece passed away last year, he picked me up at the airport the day before the funeral and had it ensconced on top of the dashboard on the passenger side.

I laughed so hard when I saw it and kept laughing just as my niece would if she were alive to see it as she loved The Ramones. Who knows, maybe she does see it, looking down from Rock n’ Roll Heaven.

Hahaha, Bkallday! That made me laugh. And, if you squint just a bit, you can see Pete Willis standing behind Phil (down and to the left!).

Kixchix, the answer to your first question is simple: they have yet to create a lacquer that will produce the high-gloss shine of Phil flexing and strumming on stage.

Wonderful story, Metalboy! Nice how memories can make us laugh and remember even when they are touched by sadness. My condolences.

Never would buy one of these myself. Though I have a Lemmy that a friend bought me (and I have it proudly displayed in the broom closet I call an office). Personally, I rather like the Super7 re-action figures. Old school charm and all.

Cool story MB. Peace. Forgot to mention that Vivian Campbell has hair that I could swear is weird Al’s figures hair.

Him! I have the LEMMY as well! Kids got it for me last Christmas. Lemmy was special and remains larger than life. I am not enthusiastic about their odds for RRHOF induction. Not enough know the man behind the music.

Thank you for your kind thoughts, Kixchix ...

I actually think Motörhead WILL get inducted ... Just not in the immediate future. I actually think their will be a backlog treasure trove of great artists who have been denied induction once Jan Wenner kicks off.

HIM, thank you, also, for the kind words and perspective.

BK, to your point, a buddy of mine sometimes dates, shall we say, “petite” girls, sometimes as short as 5’ 1” or of similar height. One of his buddies refers to them as “action figures”, haha!! No offense, short people, but where there’s comedy, there’s comedy. NO ONE should be spared (except the less fortunate).
