A Great Memory Of Mudhoney

Mudhoney is a band I haven't thought of in years - but All That Shreds posted a clip of them on Facebook and here we are. They formed in 1988 and were definitely not Glam. Sort of grunge but not Nirvana either, but probably just as important! They have a blues sound to them that I love. That blues sound is probably why I love Aerosmith so much.
There is a documentary of Mudhoney. If you have Amazon Prime, you can watch it free. Click the link:

The early 90s had so many great new acts like PANTERA, TYPE O NEGATIVE, WHITE ZOMBIE, LIFE OF AGONY, PRONG, etc. you can see how Eddie Vedder Billy Corrigan and Courtney Love seem so uncool by comparison; and by association I really didn't pay their contemporaries like Mudhoney or Tad any attention.
On your reccomendation I will check out Mudhoney, still can't convince me to listen to Hole though.
Wikipedia tells me that Mudhoney incorporated bluesy hard rock into their later albums, I will have to take Wikipedia's word for it.
You know what "not glam" band from the late 80s / early 90s kicked ass? THE HANGMEN. Coming from the L.A. punk / sleaze scene, they released one stellar album on Capitol Records in 1989 before going indie ('indie' as in independent, not 'indie' as in dressed like Napoleon Dynamite with an ugly mustache and mandolin)...
THE HANGMEN are still going led by vocalist Bryan Small, and just completed a tour with SUPERSUCKERS.
Jimmy James (Rock City Angels, Junkyard) is also in the band.
Bahaha!!!
p.s. Mike, you are SO right about The Hangmen! Got that album and they are frickin’ killer!
