Geoff Tate Travels A Lot And You Can Join Him

I didn't realize this was a thing: Geoff Tate is leading tour groups around Europe. Geoff just lead a trip through Ireland and now he is preparing to take a group through Germany and France in the fall. This is a trip I would love to take! Apparently, Geoff drives a van, takes you to all the sights and he explains them along the way.

Look, I’ve done my fair share of blasting him AND Queensryche but my stance about them has softened over the years.

You can tell just by looking at the picture, he seems humble, content, even happy, clearly enjoying what he does.

And no one can take away from him his killer singing on one of the greatest Metal songs ever, “Queen of the Reich”. The fact that he fronted one of the greatest of Hair Metal bands is an achievement only a very few get to personally experience.

While most retired Rock Stars are content to lay about in their mansions, Tate is out there actually living life to it’s fullest doing something he loves. One thing’s for certain — he sure as h*ll ain’t doin’ it for the money!

I’ve changed my stance a bit in light of reflection. It would probably be great hearing “war” stories from Geoff’s touring of Europe. I’m sure the cost would make it less alluring.
