vinnie has been quietly added to the “days of the dead” con in dallas in october. think i’ll take my chances there to have him no-show instead.
Or, wait a minute, more accurately, a Joan Collins impersonator. “Impersonator” being a term that was widely used in the 60’s and 70’s before “drag queen” replaced it, not that I have anything against them.
Nevertheless, I hope he shows and cranks up the tunes. What a killer guitarist he was in his day. I just wonder if he can deliver a blistering solo anymore. Certainly, he’s not the Speedball Jammer he once was.
And Gary and Shawn, I’m with ya! Been meaning to go to The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for years, not only for the exhibits but for the I.M. Pei designed building it calls home. Now that it’s less than a 2 hour flight from where I just relocated, I’m ready!
Epic!
And even more so if they had Corabi as part of it, as well, even crazier having him perform “Hooligan’s Holiday”, though it would probably NEVER happen due to Vince Neil’s stature ... in the band and just which members the TRaRHoF would permit to be inducted, similar to how they confined KISS to just the four original members only.
Look, man, I only mention Corabi because he’s the very first guy Mars went into the studio with after Crüe retired.
And, again, it’s not about number of albums sold, man, it’s about artistic integrity. The self-titled “Hooligan’s Holiday” album happens to be Mars’ favorite of all the Crüe records.
I wouldn't bring this up--after all, I am more a reader than a poster these days--if not for the fact that Bkallday very recently posted this nugget of clear-headed thinking:
"Worrying about what others do is a huge pet peeve of mine. I think we should all just do ourselves and not worry with what anyone else is doing, unless it is negatively affecting your quality of life(and its been proven to do just that). For example, im a carnivore, but i don't think everyone has to be one. I love thrash metal but if you don't like thrash metal, and you prefer country, all the more power to ya! People are waaaaaay too worried about everyone else in 2019. I think European ppl should bathe more and shave more(esp under their arms lol). I think they should pay more attention to listening to the dentist but im fine with them doing them, and hope they are fine with the way i choose to live my life. People need to stay in their own lanes and not worry about everyone else!"
Take that above comment, quoted verbatim, and compare it to the ebbs and flows in Bkallday's posting history. Thing is, I agree with the quotation (putting aside some slippage in the overall train of thought). But I can't really say for sure if Bkallday does. I'd like to think so. Again, this is one of the reasons I don't post here much anymore. At least, when I post, I try to offer something up beyond OMG LOL (yes, that is a reference). I also respond to responses that contradict me, prove me wrong, or challenge my opinion. Consistently. I guess I am baiting a hook that I don't really want to lure in. So let me do this. No reply necessary. As I will not reply back. But at least I am being clear about my motives.
Back to the initial post:
(1) VV is a shattered soul who duped fans who loved him. On this one, I think Simmons is right. He is one for three right now, if I am counting correctly. But he has a history of letting people down, no less himself. And when he does that, who does he blame? Anyone but himself. Hmm. Purchasing a ticket to an event involving him is like purchasing a lottery ticket. But what do you really win if they call your numbers?
(2) I concur with other posters. I have said on several occasions that the only thing interesting or enjoyable about the RaRHoF is the museum. It is certainly worth the price of admission.
Now back to my bomb-shelter. OMG LOL, right? Try the veal.
Btw, the post before my post was about Motley Crue’s self titled cd, was it not? Was I not giving my opinion about what was posted? Or was I bringing up something completely different, that no one was even discussing, so I can then start to attack ppl? No, I wasn’t, I was merely giving my honest opinion of what was said before me. This idiot has no clue what “stay in your lane” means, obviously. Again, my OPINION of what was being discussed. This putz gets triggered so gd much, I know his type & I figured he wouldn’t respond back, that’s how his kind rolls. Hey HIM 🖕🏼& you can keep off this site, for all I care. There are plenty of political sites out there for ya, that you would be much more suited for. Just curious, did you play any sports in high school? And no, soccer doesn’t count. Oh nm, that’s right, you aren’t gonna respond. 🙄
For the record, I don’t like attacking others like this but when someone starts it, I will be the one to finish it!
