Journey Band Changes

This seems ignorant, but whatever. There are some changes to Journey today. Steve Smith and Ross Valory were just fired. Make of that what you will.

Go see "Departure" instead if you're in the Southeast ... best Journey tribute band there is, and frankly they sound and look a lot better than the real thing.
Don't have much love for Cain or Schon, and will gladly sit in the parking lot during a Journey set these days. That said, Journey Through Time, with Rollie and Castronovo (drumming and singing his arse off) was a surprise. I can also take-it-or-leave-it when it comes to Perry's newer stuff (though it is great to have his voice back out there, in whatever form). Nothing against Pineda either. Guy is living his dream and seems gracious and humble and all the rest.
I bet working for Schon and Cain is a really hoot. But still . . . that ain't the way to go about it. What was their end game? Seriously.
Then Neil would immediately proceed to manage to fit 473 notes into a 5 second solo during one of Cain's sappy ballads that women love. (As Keith , while chewing on the last remaining coca leaf on the planet, nails 192 year old Betty White cause he likes " the younger stuff")
But you did forget Schon's "O" face . . . when he looks at his guitar, when he plugs it in, when he plays (oh hell, yessss, when he plays it), when he kisses it goodnight. Cain, in contrast, looks slightly confused and a touch constipated while he tickles the keys for the guy up North.
Bkallday, I need to correct you. Extreme were very, very clear about his fact. There are three sides to every story. Don't mess with Cherone's math!!! I kid.

Then again, I never expected Journey to be a pleasing garden of sprites and fairies, wandering about in search of new inspiration.
