Krokus Cancels Tour

Another COVID-19 concert cancellation. Krokus was set to begin a farewell tour this September, but that won't happen now. The tour will most likely be rescheduled after the pandemic has passed and it is safe to gather together again. The band posted an official update on Facebook last night and you can read it below. There are not many specifics but really, there is not much more to say at this point.

Me too, London. Was going to the Seattle show with some friends I have had for 30+ years. Bummed, but expected. I can't even fathom the logistics of bringing an international act over here right now. I hope they reschedule . . . and that I can go see the show!!!

While Krokus often veered dangerously close to (and occasionally swerved directly into) self-parody, pomposity, and quasi-plagiarism (have you heard AC/DC's lost track "Long Stick Goes Boom"?), they had a knack for catchy songs. Thing is, Storace can still sing and does so within his 68 year old range. He also seems to have mellowed a bit. Reality does that to people. Sure, it isn't the classic line-up (von Rohr is the closest you get to a lifer in this group, though it would be nice if von Arb was still playing). But not many people were clamoring for this. I, for one, was though.

glad i got the chance to see/meet them on their last swing through dallas. also glad i didn’t buy tickets yet for this tour (i buy at the club’s ticket box, and probably can’t get a refund if the club isn’t open right now). it’ll just make the reschedule that much better.

You are lucky, stu. When was that show? How was it? Any memories to share?

I would;like to see them one more time --- Saw them in a small club in Portland Oregon with Lillian Axe as the opener .. The low ceiling in the place and the wall of Krokus Marshall's did not jive they were ear splitting loud.

Yes HIM don't they say plagiarism is the biggest compliment? I wore that Headhunter cassette out in my walkman back in ancient times.

Which club, Shawn (if you are still reading this)? And I agree. Many great bands jumped on the back of established acts and rode that horse as far as they could! No problem with good copies making good music and also venturing in their own direction now and again.

Thanks for responding. I appreciate it.
