John Corabi Announces Concert (For This Month!)

Apparently there are a few places where you can see live music in the age of Covid and our Summer of No Fun. John Corabi will perform a live show at the Firehouse BBQ and Blues in Richmond, Indiana on July 25. That is probably an hour or so from my home. Granted, you won't find me in the crowd of this show - especially since Ohio is now on an upswing of infections and most folks will be Buckeyes in attendance - but I guess this is nice for those who want to get out. Plus it gives the musicians a chance to make some money. Other upcoming shows at this venue include Joel Hoekstra with Brandon Gibbs and Eric Martin and P.J. Farley. Tickets for the Corabi show are $30.

It’s cool he’s giving the ppl the choice. And I know I will get blasted for saying it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Completely irresponsible. I LOVE John, but damn, this is stupid. This pandemic will never end as long as people continue to pretend it’s not serious. First Great White, now this. I feel for these artists. The money simply isn’t there without live shows. However, almost every state is showing an uptick in cases. Now is not the time to get even 100 people in close proximity. I hope he reconsiders.

leap day was the last concert i went to. so when my hometown (an hour north of dallas TX) didn’t cancel its outdoor summer concert series i figured i could socially distance enough to feel safe watching confederate railroad play here for the first time in 25 years. wrong. few wore masks (it was only 98°). people ignored the grids. they actually bumped into my chair (during the daylight). and this was outdoors ... in a large open field.
so yeah, this pandemic is not going anywhere for a while.

Good for him!. If I were closer, I'd certainly go.

What BatLizard says ...

And I say people just don’t get it ... and then they get it! ... Get it?

To those that applaud this 'choice', I am not interested in slagging on you. You are right. It is a choice. If you go, have fun. Be safe. That's on you . . . unless it ends up being on others.

And that's where my thinking trends more with Batlizard and stu. I love Corabi (everyone on here knows that). I also love the idea that an act can make some money and play live these days. That show helps this venue. It helps those who work for Corabi and those who work for the venue. Win-win-win.

What's not to love? You all know. I am no shrinking violet. I doubt Batlizard and stu are either (not to make you complicit in my post). But, again, being cautious and concerned means--right now--that we have to be a bit glum until there is a chance for more sun.

Personal opinion: Corabi just pulled a (potential) Great White. He is better than that. And his fans are better for avoiding this show. Sad to say. But saying it.

Yeah, man! ...

I love the dude, PURE L.A. ROCK cred ... Scream, Crüe, Solo, Mars ...

But he is being stoopid on this ...

Just read the headlines ...

But why not go on MORC STUDIOS, live stream and free like JUNKYARD a coupla Sayurdays ago, as well as others ...

Or his brethren, L.A. Guns, Little Caesar, or The DICKIES, the world’s fastest band (check out their versions of “Paranoid” or “Whites in White Satin” etc.) who you may or may not have to pay some chump change to watch ...

Maybe he’ll be doing the “Philly Lean Over” when he’s wretching from catching this f*ckin’ thing ... Not that I want that to happen but that’s what he’s inviting!
