Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp Offers Remote Masterclasses

Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp offers once-in-a-lifetime experiences for amateur musicians to play with real rockstars, but the price is crazy for the experience. The pandemic put those traditional "camps" on the back-burner and now folks can do "masterclasses" with celebs in a Zoom format.
I noticed these were offered over the summer but I didn't give it much thought because I assumed the price was astronomical. Turns out, some masterclasses are as cheap as $50. Tomorrow, Frank Hannon of Tesla will do a masterclass. Seats are $150. Sebastian Bach will do one on Thursday and that one will set you back $300. The thing about these remote classes is that non-musicians can take part, ask questions and get something from the experience. Might be something to consider, especially if you are looking for a unique gift for someone special who loves music.

that said, it’s kinda cool, but pricey considering in-person meet & greets with these guys (tesla, bach) are cheaper.
that also said, i’ve met both and they are really cool to talk to.
Hannon: "This is how I do X to make Z, so that the Y is exactly the right tone for M. But if I want to do something special, I just do M with a slight change to T."

Me: "Uh, I like your music. Can you sign my computer screen?"
---------------
Bach: "I LOVE MUSIC!!!!! Rock n Roll!!!"
Me: "I do too. Have you heard of a guy named Shawn?"

Soft pass. But I hope those who can and will do this get something out of it. I know that bands and artists are struggling to find revenue streams. And that is, in all seriousness, no joke.
Still, I’m sure there is no shortage of Trump Rally attendees who wouldn’t clamor over each other for a chance to virtually hob nob and play “Signs” with this as*clown.
Now, Bach on the other hand, is quite a different story (thus, double the price of Hambone) ... Bach’s position in The Pantheon of Rock &Roll is just a whole other level above Hanson.
Since all I can do is sorta sing just okay, the Bach Fantasy Camp would be ideal for someone like me to not quit my day job, but certainly fantasize about it after getting some pointers from Bach.
And please know, I realize Handj*b is a very competent guitarist, just not a great one!
