Kingpin to Shotgun Messiah
Before Shotgun Messiah was a thing, a version of the band was known as Kingpin. The Swedish Kingpin released an album called Welcome to Bop City and it has some pretty catch tunes on it, including "Don't Care About Nothin'" and you can hear that one below.
I was listening to "Don't Care About Nothin'" and was struck by how much the song sounds like Open Up and Say... Ahh! era-Poison. The albums lived in the same time universe as Welcome To Bop City came out in 1988 just like Poison's Glam masterpiece. "Shout It Out" was also on Welcome To Bop City and that song was a hit in Sweden before the band was rebranded as Shotgun Messiah.
It never ceases to amaze me that super-star-tough-guy bassist Tim Skold was in Kingpin/Shotgun Messiah.
Just for fun - some clips of Tim Skold with Marilyn Manson.

Lots of respect for Skold and Cody, "Second Comig" was great, and they were ahead of the curve with Violent New Breed.
Tim Skold is featured on a brand new video by Jyrki69 (of 69 Eyes)... what a great guitar player on top of his songwriting, singing, producing and bass playing skills.

Come to think of it, I also have a Tim Skold instructional DVD where he breaks down the solo for Manson's "Putting Holes In Happiness".
Crued, what's with the question? When have I taken a dumpy-doo on your comments? Moreover, I always flag my fanboy status when I post on something. We all have that problem, right? Hehe, as you might write.
