Winger Will Support Steel Panther On Tour
Friday, January 6, 2023 at 02:01PM
It is 2023 and that means Winger is marking 35 years as a band. To celebrate, Winger will hit the road with Steel Panther for the On The Prowl tour in the UK in May. Winger also updated social platforms with new art referencing the 35th anniversary and a new photoshoot too - so perhaps other things are brewing for the next few months. I hope!

That said, I am sorta' interested in seeing SP with Tragedy on the latest US run. Has anyone seen Tragedy? The gimmick sounds potentially amazing. A night of laughs and metal . . . and ABBA!
Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
@Him tragedy and SP would be such a killer show!!! i hope i can get my tennis ball walker down in general admission :D
@Him fave winger song in case thats who i get?
that question goes out to you all... and Reb Beach is a god!
AMAZING!
Saw Steel Panther three times!
Twice at M3 …
Once at Hard Rock in Orlando
Great music … Mediocre facsimile of humor in most of the lyrics, though admittedly a few lines are quite hilarious.
As I’ve said before, these clowns would have gotten a lot further had they mastered the art of the double entendre on the level of, say, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, “Heaven Tonight”, rather than relying on the corny quasi cliched words that are now their indelible trademark.
But that requires actual talent, Metal Gods forbid.
Metalboy!, as I noted in my previous post (given that I read them from top to bottom), I am just glad you are here posting again. Also glad to hear you second that Tragedy is a good act to see. I also appreciate you giving SP props for their musical talent. Question:do you like their latest single? I think it shows a return to form after some clunkers in recent years.
Yes, SP are juvenile. That's their shtick. Is it for everyone? Of course not. But asking them to change their act is sorta' like saying Buster Keaton would have gone farther if he had toned down the physical comedy a bit. And, to be fair, they are simply amplifying a deep, deep vein of stupid in the lyrics of some of the bands we all know and love.
But, again, glad to have you back for a spell. Hope you stick around.
