Faster Pussycat, 'Motorbike' -- New Track

First off, let me say it is great that we have new Faster Pussycat music. The band released the track "Motorbike" today that singer Taime Downe says took him a decade to write. At any rate, the recording is below and it sounds muffled to me. I am not sure if the wrong version was uploaded or what, but Taime's voice sounds buried. In some places, it is even hard for me to make out the words.
The single is available on a limited-edition vinyl that you can purchase on the band's website. I am going to believe it sounds clearer than what is below.

During the lean years--those in the late-90s and early-00s--I got to see him and his guys in a lot of great, small, venues. He always brought it. His swagger was, shall we say, a bit more than he or his band's stature at the time. And I loved it! From a tiny club to an even smaller club, he would act like he was the kind of castle and perform like his life depended on it. Was always a good show.
This song? Personally, I don't think it sounds muffled. And I tried listening to it on several other sites too. What it does sound like is overly processed and, well, tired. If this took a decade to write, then Taime should just focus on delivering the hits in the venues that will book him. At one point, I actually thought that maybe--just maybe--the song was being played at the wrong speed. I mean, it just drags. It is, to paraphrase a worn out phrase, like watching Sleaze dry.
Still a fan. Still glad that he is doing his thing. Still wish him the best. But this is a hard pass.
The last time I saw them on one of the MORCs, they were absolutely phenomenal, like better than the record phenomenal … In fact, this one dude from Boston we had gotten to know on the cruise said it was the best he’d heard them play in the last 30 years.
Cut to the recently tragedy he endured on the last cruise and it’s amazing to see he could get it together to put out “Motorbike”.
I had heard it the day it came out and was pleasantly surprised at how good it is, immediately adding it to my “Best of 2025” playlist …
Let’s hope this and a recent fantastic collaboration with Wednesday 13 on another recent single, “No Apologies”, marks a new period of creativity for Taime Downe and a return to form of Faster Pussycat!
