Faster Pussycat, 'Don't Change' B-Side

As a B-side to their recent single "Motorbike," Faster Pussycat also recorded a cover of the INXS song "Don't Change." This isn't the first time the band has covered the track - and they often play it live too. The song is available for streaming now.

Previous version from the 2011 digital-only album Covers & Oddities:

And INXS doing the original - from 1982. Remember: a good song is a good song.

INXS music has aged very well. Shame about Hutchence, but many stars that sing burn out and that’s ok. Honestly, Don’t Change this song. Neither of Faster Pussycats versions measure up. At a rocking FP show however I love a good cover

Great cover, though maybe a tad too busy in the production.

Still, there is a lot to like about it.

I like INXS but always thought their music lacked b*lls.

Faster Pussycat’s version certainly has A LOT more of those as it’s way heavier and is A LOT more Rock & Roll!

This makes you wonder if maybe INXS had been a tad more Hard Rock, they woulda been even bigger.

Someone’s gotta cover this song with production that falls somewhere in between the original and Faster Pussycat’s version.

I looked up the lyrics because it is such a powerful song … FUN FACT: Reading the songwriting credits, I was reminded that three of INXS’ members are brothers - Andrew, Garry and John Farris … Here’s hoping, as INXS mount yet another comeback attempt, they can find a new singer they can work with like AC/DC did …

It is also worth noting, Hutchence’s death was an awful tragedy, the circumstances of which are such that one has to wonder if it could have been avoided … Another tragedy was the recent passing of Taime Downe’s girlfriend and how that transpired with him having to witness it!

INXS were massive! metalboy. They sold out MSG two nights and sold out Wembley (74,000) in 1991!
