Crazy Lixx Loses Two Guitarists

Unrest in the Crazy Lixx camp as two guitarists have left the band. Edd Liam and Andy Zäta have decided to part ways with the rest of the band. I hope the remaining members of the band can weather this and continue on as Crazy Lixx is an amazing Glam band. Edd apparently left for personal reasons and Andy left to join Inglorious.

Doesn't Seem Like 25 Years...

I can't believe Pornograffitti is 25 years old this weekend. Thank goodness for "Hole Hearted" and "More Than Words." Enjoy your summer Sunday!

Is Something About To Happen In The Crashdiet Camp?

Back in February, Crashdiet lead singer Simon Cruz left the band. There wasn't any activity on the band's official Facebook page for months... until just a few days ago when someone managing the page changed the profile and header pictures. Hopefully this means the band is about to resurface with some big news. Let the speculation begin!

Saxon Releases New Video; Give Me Your Questions

Saxon just released a video for their new single "Battering Ram" from the upcoming album of the same name. The band is playing in Dayton next month and I'm interviewing Biff Byford for the Dayton City Paper. If you have some questions for Biff, please leave them for me in the comments section!

Throwback Thursday: 90s Style

I graduated high school in 1998, meaning Glam metal isn't actually the music of my generation.

During my high school days we had old school hip hop or grunge. We already know how hard the 90s were for a lot of the bands we love. So while I still listened to my beloved Glam bands, I also listened to a lot of hip hop and R&B. Back then, R&B and hip hop artists really sang - the songs weren't pure filth like today. Sort of the same with rock bands today versus the 80s I guess. Back in the 80s, Glam frontmen and women could really sing and guitarists could really shred. Today, that just isn't the norm anymore. So while this is a Glam site, I thought it would be fun to post up some of my favorite R&B and hip hop songs from my high school days. It is throwback Thursday, after all! #TBT!

2Pac, featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman - "California Love"

Fun fact: this was wedding reception entrance song. Why? Why not! Easily one of the best rap songs ever recorded.

Brownstone - "If You Love Me"

SWV - "Right Here"

This is one of my favorite songs and videos of all time: Keith Sweat, featuring Kut Klose - "Twisted"

Do you like any 90s R&B or hip hop?

Because Everyone Needs Their Own Wine Now

This is the trendy thing now among aging rockers: create your own brand of signature wine. Shoot, if I was famous, I'd create my own Glam wine too.

Gus G, 'Brand New Revolution' Video

Guitarist Gus G of Ozzy Osbourne fame has a new album out called Brand New Revolution. The first single is of the same name. Gus recruited lots of different artists to help him out on this new solo effort. The singer on "Brand New Revolution" happens to be Jacob Bunton who we talked about yesterday regarding his work with Adler and Lynam. Jacob sings on a few of the album's tracks and he shares a writing credit on "Brand New Revolution." Good stuff - absolutely killer guitar solo!
