'Kings Before You' -- New James Durbin Track

Today was pretty chaotic. Between Eric dumping a jumbo container of coffee onto the kitchen floor first thing this morning, to me tripping badly over carpet and hurting my back to the cat running headfirst into the wall, the morning was off to a not great start. Add in a huge (read: extra heavy) delivery from Best Buy and some demanding work projects that took about 15 times longer than necessary, and well... it's been a day. I mean, I was eating my Lean Cuisine - yes, that was dinner tonight, sadly - and I realized I had not updated this site, listened to a single song today or even checked the news. Eric was tucked away in his own office all day, one video call after another. I don't think he even ate lunch.
So anyway, I finally sit down and pop open Twitter and see that James Durbin has released his first solo track. It is called "Kings Before You" and it is different from what I expected from him. I was anticipating something a little more Glam and this track is more straight-ahead rock. I think the goal here was to sound in the vein of Judas Priest.
"Kings Before You" is on the upcoming album The Beast Awakens due February from Frontiers.
Oh and for the record - I will always consider James Durbin as being an American Idol... and less ex-Quiet Riot frontman.
