It's About Time!

Just 64 days until I see them in Las Vegas!

Look, this proves we've brought back glam, people. It doesn't get any more mainstream than fancy cheese from a discount store. The cheese will be $3.49 and in limited supply so act fast. All these special items always sell out at Aldi.
There's a new book out today about the collaboration between RUN D.M.C. and Aerosmith. Remember all those years ago when the groups got together for "Walk This Way?" That was a really big deal. Now Geoff Edgers has a new book about it called Walk This Way: Run-DMC, Aerosmith, And The Song that Changed American Music Forever.
I am just finishing up my January Audible book (Everyday Millionaires by Chris Hogan) so this is great timing. I also have a nightstand stack of books that just keeps getting bigger and bigger, but I digress. This new Aerosmith book sounds fun.
Anyway, here's my favorite Super Bowl halftime show of all time: 2001, featuring Aerosmith, Britney Spears, N'Sync and Mary J. Blige. Start watching at the six minute mark! In 2001 I was a senior in college (I graduated in three years *humblebrag*) and I remember watching this with my parents before heading back to campus. I still really want that shirt Britney is wearing.
So KISS are on their "End of the Road" tour and they've added a function to their website where you can make up your own playlist. I mean, you can do this yourself already because you probably already own every KISS album and I bet you subscribe to a digital music service like Amazon Music Unlimited, right? But still, it's cool. So go check it out. I wish Vegas allowed bets on things like "Is this really KISS' final tour?" I wonder what the spread would be on that?

The two I would still love to go to someday are Sweden Rock and Rock Fest, in Cadott, Wisconsin. That said, even Rock Fest used to be more classic rock and Glam bands. Now it sort of looks like every other summer music fest in America, but still. There is supposed to be something magical about Rock Fest at Cadott and I would like to experience it before I get too old to actually enjoy it. This year it looks like there is a pre-party with Kix and Jackyl. Sounds like a blast!
