Sonic Temple Festival Returns, Announces Lineup

Sonic Temple Festival will return to Columbus, Ohio after a three-year COVID-related hiatus. The festival was previously known as Rock on the Range. The four-day event happens May 25-28.

Sonic Temple bands were announced this morning and tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday. I was expecting to see Nickelback and Ice Nine Kills on the lineup and I am little disappointed they are not included. KISS is a headliner which did surprise me a lot. Avenged Sevenfold and Foo Fighters are also headliners. I would like to go to the event on Friday to see I Prevail, Dorothy and Avenged Sevenfold. I guess it will depend on how much single day tickets cost!

Def Leppard, Motley Crue Annouce 'Intimate' Show

Another warmup gig was added in the U.S. before Motley Crue and Def Leppard will hit the road for "The World Tour." The bands will play at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fl. The show will take place March 12 and pre-sale tickets begin as early as tomorrow.

The Hard Rock venues do not hold nearly as many folks as other venues on the "world" leg, so this really is a good chance to see the bands if that is your thing.

Remembering Steve Clark

Def Leppard guitarist Steve Clark died January 8, 1991. He was 30. The remaining members of Def Leppard have never forgotten him and always include Steve as a member on official platforms, special merchandise, etc. I always listen to "White Lightning" on this anniversary.

Bret Michaels To Release New Music January 18

Bret Michaels will release a new song called "Back In The Day" on January 18. He will also do a Facebook live that day to promote the track and video. Fans will have a chance to ask Bret real time questions during that live event as well. More details are promised on the Facebook live.

Winger Will Support Steel Panther On Tour

It is 2023 and that means Winger is marking 35 years as a band. To celebrate, Winger will hit the road with Steel Panther for the On The Prowl tour in the UK in May. Winger also updated social platforms with new art referencing the 35th anniversary and a new photoshoot too - so perhaps other things are brewing for the next few months. I hope!

The UK is Metal, man. British heavy metal icons Iron Maiden are now featured on Royal Mail stamps and you can buy some as a collector's item. In the past, you could buy American stamps featuring Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Elvis.

Dirty Honey will release a new single "Heartbreaker 2.0" this Friday. The song is a rework of their original "Heartbreaker." The desire for a rework came after performing the song live over the past couple of years and noticing the positive crowd reaction. The new version will help Dirty Honey celebrate their UK tour which starts later this month. "Heartbreaker 2.0" is out this Friday.
