It has been three years since Nickelback played live - and now the band has announced three gigs to get back on the road. The dates are below and I hope more are added. I saw Nickelback live years ago in Louisville and it remains one of the best rock shows I've ever attended. No b.s. - just fun, loud rock music.
The live shows are to celebrate the band's new album Get Rollin.' It comes out November 18.
You asked for some live shows and here they are! Who are we seeing on the road? 🤘 pic.twitter.com/zce1uAAjaL
Happy Sunday! It's a beautiful day for football in southern Ohio and I'm looking forward to seeing my Bengals back home today. In music news, a focus on Kenny Ozzfest 15. That's our Sunday's Best for this week.
Kenny Ozz - a longtime reader, friend of BBG! and poster here - will host his 15th annual birthday bash December 3 at MVP Sports Bar in Cincinnati. The show is all ages.
Who is headlining Kenny Ozzfest 15, you ask? None other than Glam metal stars TUFF. Plus, there's a whole day of music from local bands. Tickets are $10. For more information and how to get tickets, just click here! You can also message Kenny directly through his Facebook page.
Now there's an official video for the "newly discovered" Queen song "Face It Alone." It is still so wild to me that we've got new Queen music with Freddie Mercury after all these years.
It's a beautiful Saturday in southern Ohio and a great day to listen to music outside! Queen is always great for that!
Drummer Steve Riley and L.A. Guns just released a new song called "Overdrive." The song will be included on the band's upcoming album The Dark Horse. I will say "Overdrive" doesn't exactly sound like your classic L.A. Guns (er, Riley's L.A. Guns), but this band has evolved and here we are. The new album is officially available for pre-orders today (see below).
I guess the rumors of The Stadium Tour going global were true. Motley Crue and Def Leppard will go to Europe and Latin America in 2023 and it looks like tickets go on sale next Friday. The run starts in Mexico in February and hits the UK in May. Like The Stadium Tour this is a co-headline event and Live Nation is the producer. Get ready for dynamic ticket pricing!
I guess we will see if the rumors about John 5 playing guitar instead of Mick Mars for this next run are true soon enough.
First, U.S. Stadiums…now - THE WORLD 🤘The World Tour with Motley Crue is hitting Latin America & Europe in 2023! 🔥
DEFINITELY: The Official Story of Def Leppard will come out in May. The book is available for pre-order now and I just bought my copy. It is currently $45 on Amazon and is the number 1 bestseller in books about heavy metal music right now on that site.
I tried to buy a signed, special edition copy but they were all sold out by the time I got to the band's website. I think the photos look really interesting - the book seems thick and should include some stories we've never heard before. Plus, this will look cool on my coffee table.
Introducing: 'DEFINITELY: The Official Story of Def Leppard' 🤘
Part memoir, part scrapbook, DEFINITELY is the ultimate record of Def Leppard's legendary career. 🔥
MySpace was great back in the day for finding bands. Most bands would even interact with their fans, which was pretty revolutionary at the time. I set up so many interviews with bands via MySpace back in the early days of this site... before everyone (and every brand/band/organization) migrated to Facebook. Now, Instagram (owned by Facebook) wants to add an integration so you can have a profile song. I mean, MySpace had that from the start.
Everything in fashion comes back around and I guess that's true for social media as well. Now I have to figure out a profile song for an Instagram profile that I rarely use, ha!
Instagram is reportedly working on a feature that will allow users to pick a ‘Profile Song,’ similar to MySpace. (via @alex193a) pic.twitter.com/dOAKbhR7vx
