Tesla Respects Aerosmith Classic

As the Queen (and King) of Bring Back Glam! – I make all the topic decisions and that means you knew that an Aerosmith cover would pop-up on this list of best and unique covers.

Tesla released the album Full Throttle in 2023. The album includes the Aerosmith song “S.O.S. (Too Bad)” from the album Get Your Wings (1975).

Check out that cool Aerosmith shirt near the drum kit! Singer Jeff Keith sounds incredible here in that he matches Steven Tyler’s energy note for note. That is obviously hard to do. Mad respect.

Steven Tyler Sings Live Again

Years after a catastrophic throat injury and tons of rehab, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith was once again able to sing live. He performed as part of his annual Janie's Fund Grammy's event on Sunday night.

There were rumors of an Aerosmith reunion but that didn't happen, sadly. Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton did perform with Tyler along with a cadre of other stars, including guitarist Nuno Bettencourt.

Here's Tyler and Nuno doing "More Than Words." Hopefully Steven continues to heal and maybe we will get that one last Aerosmith show after-all.

Aerosmith Will Perform Together Again!

Aerosmith will perform live together again... at least once, anyway. The special performance will take place at Steven Tyler's annual charity event, "Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party" on February 2. Lots of other acts will also perform - but the highlight is going to be the 'Smith on stage together again.

I just knew they would perform live together again, despite the retirement announcement. I can't wait to watch videos of this after they are released.

Close Enemies, 'Sound Of A Train' Debut Single

Close Enemies, the new band featuring Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton, just released its debut single. The song is called "Sound of a Train" and it premiered on Ozzy's Boneyard via SiriusXM. The visualizer for the track is below.

The Aerosmith comparisons are inevitable and it does seem like "Sound of a Train" would fit on a 70s era 'Smith album. That said, the song also has a fresh vibe, too. It will be interesting to see if this band puts out a full length album this year. Close Enemies formed about two years ago.

Cool Retro Ad

Nostalgia Sunday over here.

Ok, who are we kidding? Every day is about nostalgia around these parts. I spied the post below the other day on Facebook. Check out the cool vintage ad for my beloved Aerosmith Live! Bootleg.

There are actually staged photos and copy to match, making it a true work of advertising art. There's a nice write-up of the album, too. Plus extra points for the Steely Dan write-up on the same page.

Aerosmith and Steely Dan together in one magazine spread? Oh my! It's like someone downloaded my brain and puked out Billboard's November 4, 1978 issue. Perfection.

Aerosmith's Final Show Online - Now In 4K And Remastered Audio

I plan on watching this concert over the weekend while enjoying a glass of wine. The video is of the final show of Aerosmith's "Peace Out" tour from Elmont, New York in September of 2023.

We didn't know it was the last show at the time, but here we are. After the band's retirement announcement, the clip was remastered and reuploaded in 4K. Thanks so much to Toshi Aizawa for sharing this content via his YouTube account!

Who Is Sammy Hagar Throwing Shade At Here?

Sammy Hagar pays tribute to Steven Tyler and Aerosmith... and throws some shade at fellow rockers. He's talking about KISS, right?
