Reunited... And It Feels So Good

RATT's Stephen Pearcy and Warren DiMartini played their first reunion show together last night at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn. Presumably, the show was a warm-up for the M3 Festival early next month.

Pearcy and DiMartini hadn't even spoken to each other in years, so the news that they were headlining M3 together this year was a bit of a shock. I'm glad they are back together and I'm not expecting anything else reunion-wise with the other RATT members. In fact, Blas Elias and Matt Thor are part of Pearcy's solo band and they are playing these gigs, too.

A couple show clips are below. Just listen to Warren shred that guitar! And I have to chuckle: Pearcy hasn't changed his stage uniform in 40 years. Dude likes his leather and he's sticking with it. I love it.

A Pearcy-DeMartini Tour (Maybe)?

I can't find this information anywhere else - including Stephen Pearcy's own social accounts. So maybe the information was released prematurely? At any rate, a full tour featuring singer Stephen Pearcy and guitarist Warren DeMartini playing RATT tunes would be most excellent. Summer fun for sure.

M3 Rock Festival Announces Lineup

M3 Rock Festival is set for May 2-4 at Merriweather Post Pavilion near Baltimore, Maryland. The lineup is finally out and headliners include Sebastian Bach, David Lee Roth and Pearcy & DeMartini performing RATT classics.

The most interesting part here is the performance of Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini. That should definitely be good. Looks like the two have buried the hatchet over any past bad blood. Tickets are on sale January 31.

A Lot of Cute RATT Cats

This week has been a month of Mondays. I've only got a little mental capacity left to spare right now - so I'm sharing this great Facebook post from our favorite Stephen Pearcy. I think he loves cats more than me! Odd for a RATT. (See what I did there?)

Stephen Pearcy Would Like You To Vote For His Cat

Stephen Pearcy is a pretty fun follow on Facebook. He always posts music and RATT-related stuff of course, but he also shares a lot about his pets and family life. Now, his fluffy feline named Charles the Catt is in the "America's Favorite Pet" content.

The winning feline gets $10,000 and a modeling spread on the cover of Modern Cat magazine. Voting opens tomorrow. You can vote once per day for the duration of the contest. I find this awesomely wholesome. Love it.

Are We Getting A RATT Tour?

We're celebrating the 40th anniversary of RATT's debut Out of the Cellar... and now there's new art on the band's Facebook. Maybe the art is just for the anniversary in general but my old Glam bones tell me we are getting some sort of show or tour somewhere. Will it just be a festival date here and there? Maybe. Are we getting a big reunion with Warren DeMartini back on guitar?

We already know we're getting a special 40th anniversary edition of the debut - I'm hoping for more!

'Reach for the Sky,' -- RATT, New Music

Forty years in the making! RATT has a "new" single called "Reach for the Sky" - and it was originally written (or started) in 1982. The song was supposed to be on Out of the Cellar but it didn't happen and the track was shelved... until now.

Yes, the band's classic lineup plays on this track, including late guitarist Robbin Crosby! As soon as the song starts, you can tell this is classic RATT. Like, "Reach for the Sky" immediately transports you back to that debut-era sound. Just enjoy the dueling guitar solos - so fun! Also, Marq Torien, eventually of the Bulletboys, helped write the track. There's lot of Sunset Strip history here.
