For Those Who Love Hearing Entire Albums Live

So this is kind of cool. Styx and Kevin Cronin (of REO Speedwagon fame, of course) will perform their famous albums live in full this summer on the "Brotherhood of Rock" Tour. Styx will perform The Grand Illusion plus other hits. The Kevin Cronin band will perform Hi-Infidelity, which is just a banging album.

The tour starts at the end of May and there are dates all over America.

Rockin' In Paradise Lineup Announced

This seems fun! The Rockin' in Paradise festival will take place October 9 - 11 at Miramar Beach, Florida. Headliners include Styx and Cheap Trick. No word on pricing yet. Presale starts February 11 but you have to sign up in advance.

Another Las Vegas Residency: This Time STYX (Again)

STYX will do a short residency at The Venetian in Las Vegas starting in January. Tickets go on sale Friday, continuing the trend of little advanced warning before on-sale dates.

The band has done a residency at The Venetian in the past, so these new dates are not a surprise.

So this is happening: Styx are extending their Las Vegas residency and doing more shows, starting up again in January. To be honest, I think I'm over the residency thing, especially in Vegas. That said, I get why acts do them: less wear and tear on the body due to limited travel and cheaper production costs to stay in one place. All of that probably means more money, too.

Styx Announce Las Vegas Residency

If you've never seen Styx live... you'll have the chance this winter in Las Vegas. The band is doing a residency at The Venetian from January 27 - February 4, 2023. In my mind, that isn't exactly a residency so much as an extended run of shows, but whatever. Tickets go on sale Friday. I'm sure tickets will be pricey!

Styx, REO Speedwagon and Loverboy Announce Tour

Another big summer tour announcement: Styx will hit the road with REO Speedwagon and Loverboy. The run starts May 31 and goes through August. Tickets are on sale Friday.

The show is heading to my neck of the woods at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati June 11. I don't mind seeing shows in the seats there, but the lawn is a no-go for me at this point. Too crowded and you can't see anything. Who is planning on attending this?
