Limp Bizkit Covers The Who

Ok, I was probably living under a rock but I honestly did not know that Limp Bizkit of all bands covered The Who. And not just any cover either - we're talking "Behind Blue Eyes" here. The scary part? I kind of like the cover and think the band did a good job.

Bizkit's version is on their album Results May Vary (2003). So how did I come across this song? Completely randomly, that's how.

I was listening to my Amazon Music and was just shuffling through stations and the song came on. I was like, "What the hell is this?" and looked it up. My guess is Eric had been listening to Nu Metal or something while running and it changed my algorithm. Still, I am grateful for the discovery. Seriously.

The Who 'Hits Back' Tour

The Who are going on tour. The band was going to go on a jaunt and then the pandemic happened. Now the legendary band is trying again. This is a long tour, too and the venues are large as you would expect. In some instances, the tickets are cheaper than I expected. Pre-sale for most venues is happening now.

Is 'Christmas' An Actual Holiday Song?

The Who included the track "Christmas" on their masterpiece Tommy. Folks like to listen to the tune around this time of year... but is it really a holiday song? I say no. It just fits into the concept of Tommy. But "Christmas" is not a carol per se. That said, I would take The Who over most any other pop-sap Christmas tune this time of year. To me, "Christmas" is one of those songs you can play in August and no one will give you weird looks. Play "Jingle Bells" when it's 100 degrees in the midwest and people will stare.
