M3 Date Set, Mark Your Calendars

In the middle of holiday chaos, I completely forgot to post this very important Glam news! M3 is officially set for May 11 and 12 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. The festival website promises more information in January. I'm sure it will go down like last year: ticket price information is released and then the lineup a few days later.

Last year tickets went on sale the first week of February and I'm sure that same timing will happen again. I've already got my hotel room booked at the Sheraton by the venue. Apparently it's a good thing, too: by Wednesday nearly every available room was held. Now all we have to do is wait for the lineup... but that's the fun part, right?

In case you missed M3 2011, here's a look back at every band that performed last year:

Can't wait...So will you do a "guess the M3 Lineup" post this year? My dream still is somehow Damn Yankees Reuniting to headline this festival!

Hate to hijack this thread... but I'll be doing yet another Thursday pre-party. If anyone has any "reasonable" ideas for a band... please let me know.

If you are going to M3.. You might want to book your hotel rooms fast (like now). The hotels in the area are filling up and a few are already sold out.

A little birdie also told me that XYZ will play this year.

AOR. Guilty pleasure, at best. Yeah, they got Terrible Ted but Damn Hankees really are the height of Cheese Metal, wouldn't ya say? I mean, I got 'em lined up on my iTunes playlist right next to Nightie Ranger, Crap English, R.E.O. Sh*twagon and other such overcommercial tripe.

For someone who's got Kix in their name, I really am baffled why you are defending Scam Yankees so adamantly. I ask you, what would non-bullish*t artist Donnie Purnell say about Dang

But then again, Kix Rules, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so what the hay, live and let live. I mean, look, I like the crap as much as the next Rock & Roll Clown but only as a guilty pleasure, as I said. There's a lot of other "legit" REAL Glam Metal or Hair Metal bands (one and the same to me) I would put in front of 'em as a dream come true to show up at M3!

Rock On!

I would like to see the reunited Bulletboys, Night Ranger and Ace. I was there last year and all 3 would fit right in.

Bulletboys! But would be better with the original line-up, for real!

Not sure about Night Ranger. Cheezeballerz, fer sure!

Well... They are NOT back together. They are doing a reunion show in Baltimore in a couple weeks.

Don't think will play M3... but maybe they will be doing something else.
