Farewell 'E Street Band' Saxophonist Clarence Clemons

Clarence Clemons, the saxophone player in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, has died. He was 69. Just last weekend, Clarence had a stroke.

Clemons started playing with Springsteen in the early 70s. He is regarded by many as one of the best sax players of all time. Beyond Springsteen, he has collaborated with many other artists including Lady Gaga.

Respect where it is due.

His heartfelt, soulful, even brain searing, sax solos on Springsteen's "Born To Run" help make that record One of THE Greatest Rock'n'Roll Albums of All Time.

p.s. Gaga's no dummy, putting him on "The Edge Of Glory" and having him perform it live with her on American Idol (I thought that was him!) just a few short weeks ago. RIP, A True American Music Legend.

RIP Big Man! As someone who grew up in Jersey in the '70s, this is a tough one for me to swallow.
