Worst tour of the summer. Two past-their-prime bands with atrocious frontmen. No thanks. I'd rather go to Crue, backing tapes and all...and KISS is my favorite band.

I think it will be awesome. Granted, it is not 1991 anymore, but how can you beat two iconic bands on one bill.

I am not a huge KISS fan. But I have never seen them, and they are on my bucket list. I am huge on the first four Def Leppard albums, and if that is the stuff they will play then I will be there. Is Poison or Night Ranger there? Or is it just KISS and Def Leppard?

I just looked and ticket prices for this are freaking ridiculous. I'm all set for Suicidal Tendencies/Slayer and Alice/Motley. Maybe I will pass on this, tickets are through the roof. God. You're already a multi-millionaire Gene, and the sales from Hysteria alone are probably still coming in, judging by the fact they are all gone, every time I go and try to get a replacement. But whatever. Maybe I will settle for lawn.

With all the fees and crap, a lawn ticket for the Chula Vista, (san Diego), show is $38. so, for my wife and I to go, that's nearly $80 to sit in the grass. My Dad and I went to see KISS in '79. both our tickets came to less than $20, and we sat in actual seats...No thanks!

Bob, You're seriously bitching about a $38 ticket to a concert in 2014, with TWO verified headline acts? REALLY?

I'll see you in Chula Vista, since Las Vegas got left out & the sound at the Forum in L.A. is a trainwreck... Or, maybe I won't see you. Actually, I'll be seeing KISS unmasked & unplugged in 2 weeks. I'll let you know how that goes.

Wow, Ace, "Unmasked and Unplugged"?

After watching a friend's clip of them performing a 45-minute acoustic set at a special show for VIP "Meet & Greet" ticketholders, I wholeheartedly contend you are in for a real treat! Enjoy the show!

I, on the other hand, will either catch them in Tampa or at Jones Beach. Would really love the latter because you can watch them play an outdoor amphitheater with the moon reflecting on the water behind them.

I think the price isn't THAT bad. $117 including the $27 fee for 3/4 way up under the rood (shed) for two headline acts. The same tix for Crue are more. Though I'd rather see Alice than Def Leppard. But, Motley is gonna suck. Vince's voice is shot. Yes, I know Paul is starting to lose it to, but they aren't in the same league.

Nice of Gene to give $1 for every ticket sold to the Wounded Warrior fund. around here tix are 100+ for seats..Ya think he could have afforded to give maybe $2?

Wow, just checked for the lawn, only like twenty bucks. Sweet I can cross KISS and Def Leppard off of my live bucket list!!!!

Funny to see the comments about past their prime and ticket prices too high, etc. That could be true of any band that's been touring and recording for thirty plus years. They may not be able to hit ask the notes, but both bands still put on a helluva show and it will be worth seeing. Thirty years ago, my dad bitched about the price of jeans. I'm sure the price has gone up since then. If you don't want to pay, don't go, but thousands of people will. And it will be a blast. They won't be touring forever, and both bands are definitely worth seeing. Donating a buck a ticket is still more than most bands will do.

Hit the high notes. I'll blame my phone.

It's not a "helluva show" to me when the songs are ruined by frontmen who can't sing anymore. Paul was pushing it the last time I saw KISS in 2012. Now it's just downright embarrassing, and I have no desire to sit through that. Musically, they might sound OK, but a subpar vocal performance doesn't cut it when good tickets are nearly $200.

I caught a few minutes of Leppard's Vegas residency on AXS recently, and I couldn't believe they would actually release something with vocals that bad. Not that Joe Elliot was ever one of the great voices of rock, but that dude has zero range now. It's like he was struggling to get through every song.

On top of all that, Live Nation just keeps recycling the same bands every summer. Between KISS, Mötley, Def Lep, Journey, Poison, Cheap Trick, and a few others. Just mix two or three and put 'em out there. I'd rather take the money I'd spend at one of those shows and see a few club or theater level shows, watching bands I can still enjoy.

I've seen KISS and Leppard plenty of times, and I'm fine with never seeing either again. Some people have a lower bar for what entertains them. More power to 'em, and I hope they have fun.

Bwomp-bwomp.

What's with all the naysaying? Two classic line-ups that aren't going to be around much longer. I'm with Oper8in, shut up and ROCK!

Not sure if this is universal, but for some east coast dates, the presale passcode is: access
