If You Like Faster Pussycat...

If you like Faster Pussycat, you're going to love Rockstars on Mars. The newish Swedish band mixes a modern sleaze sound with the classic Glam tendencies of Faster Pussycat. The band was formed by London LeGrand, best known for his time with Brides of Destruction. I have to say, Rockstars on Mars has a lot of potential!

I'd say they need to pick a new name & avoid a lawsuit from the long running L.A. glam band, "Stars From Mars". LeGrand should know better.

Plenty of bands have similar names, that's not a big deal by any means.

Besides Rockstars On Mars actually sound really badass.
This song sounds a lot like something that could have been on Faster Pussycat's debut CD.

This is the first time in 15 years(since Buckcherry)I heard a song from a new band that actually has some balls to it.

And his voice is a zillion times ballsier than Downe's or anybody else's in the genre, as well.

This seems like it's headed for my "Best of 2014" stockpile already!

p.s. This video is also probably THE best I have seen in the cinema verite, hand held, band documentary style in a long time. Great eye, great editing.
