Night Ranger Readies New Work

Night Ranger just released a new electronic press kit (EPK) for their upcoming album High Road. The album will be released on the Frontiers label soon. I'm definitely looking forward to this one.

What a great live band. If this records anything like the last, then we will all love it. Cannot wait to see them again at M3

Yep, their last album was pretty tasty. If this new one is in that vain, I'm in.

Let's hope it's as delightfully cheesy as their now classic "Sister Christian" and the rest of their AOR sh*trock.

I'm not to familiar with them. And I'm not big on them at all really. But you can't deny Sistet Christian. I know it's overplayed and talked to death, but it is still a fantastic song. There's my Night Ranger knowledge for you.

Here's an example of a band, IMHO, who is much better in a live setting than they are on record. I grew up with their music, yet they weren't exactly a favorite. But seeing them live 8-10 times over the past few years has definitely won me over. The show is fun, and they definitely rock on stage! Plus, Brad is a great, underrated guitarist. You can't go wrong with "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" or "You Can Still Rock in America", but also check out "Sing Me Away". Good stuff.

Looking forward to seeing them again at M3.

Cheeseball, Lowest Common Denominator AOR Tripe at best but still a guilty pleasure nonetheless, for the very songs everyone has name checked above.

Grated, though, Brad Gillis is a serious shredder (i.e. When he stood in with Ozzie right after Randy Rhoads passed on). Just not in this formula.

Granted, not "Grated".

And live they throw a couple of Damn Yankees tunes in there for more of an even guilty pleasure. Call them what you want, but definitely classic rock that's still rocking (in america) :)
