Farewell Lemmy

We've lost a legend in Metal tonight. Lemmy Kilmister has passed at the age of 70. No other details were released at this time. Eddie Trunk actually released the news on Twitter. Recall Lemmy has been ill for awhile. #LemmyIsGod
In all of my decades in the business you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who truly personified rock like Lemmy. One of a kind. #RIPLemmy

Lived one way. His own way. Peace.
From Hawkwind to "Ace of Spades" to The Damned to Girlschool to Wendy O. to R.A.M.O.N.E.S. to "Mama, I'm Comin' Home" to Jetboy to DORO to "Good Rockin' Tonight" to The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to Probot to "Run Rudolph Run" to Brutal Legend to Slash to Michael Monroe to Nashville P*ssy to "Whiplash" (and a Grammy) to Emigrate to "Blue Suede Shoes" to Sponge Bob to The Head Cat, Lemmy did it all.

Let us remember his immortal words at the conclusion of every show:
"Don't forget us. We are Motörhead and we play Rock & Roll!"
Regards from Buenos Aires in this sad day.
I want to post the most salient point I can and leave the rest to the ether:

Asked earlier this month about his health by Classic Rock, Kilmister struck a decidedly rock n’ roll posture: “I’m sick of the f—ing, ‘Are you going to die?’ line of questioning,” he [stated]. “It’s getting really old, that question. I’m alright. I’m going out there and doing my best. I have good days and bad days but mostly I’ve been doing alright.”
But perhaps the most fitting tribute is the medium for which he is most known: music.

Even if there aren’t any voices in the sky, you are a member of the pantheon of truly remarkable musicians and frontmen.

Rest in Peace Lemmy.
