Yes, This Looks Awesome

I just need to convince my husband. It won't be an easy sell.
Next October...

I've seen Slaughter & Faster Pussycat in concert before but I've always wanted to see the rest in person.
I've own full concerts of the other 4 on DVD (except for Adler), so I know they all put on great shows.
This is hands down the best (w/just those 6 bands alone) lineup I've seen in years.
The rest of the lineup really means nothing to me except for maybe Loudness "Rock N Roll Crazy Nights" (I think that was the name of the song?) was always cool...
& I always loved the Firehouse song "Don't Treat Me Bad" but the rest of their stuff I always found to be embarrassingly bad.
I bought their first 2 CD's and to this day, I listen to them a lot. I like every single song on them. So I actually thought they were pretty good though I've never seen them live.
I lost track of them after their second CD though.
:)
I've actually seen Firehouse in concert before & I was pretty impressed considering I am not a fan of them (except for the song "Don't Treat Me Bad").
They put on a good live show but I'm just not a fan of their style of music.
It seems too safe/family friendly for me.
I like my glam metal to be a little dirty & sleazy at the very least.
No true headliners!
I mean, come on!...
Winery Dogs in the first slot? That is just so completely and utterly laughable. Is this actually a Scientology Cruise in disguise courtesy bass creeper, Billy Sheehan?
The only real reasons to go on this cruise are as follows:
Britny Fox, KIX, Vain, Lynch Mob, Babylon A.D., L.A. Guns, Steelheart, Firehouse, The Quireboys, Slaughter and Lies, Deceit & Treachery. And, unfortunately, I don't think one of them is 100% scab free!
If only they had just a few more bands worth seeing like Junkyard, Poison minus the hick plus some more of the bands from the East Coast Cruise like Kingdom Come would help, as well.
Sure, it looks like fun, but where are the REAL acts to add on here? I mean, what the hell? Why not just get Junkyard, Wildside and Pretty Boy Floyd. Even THAT would be more Rock & Roll than these also rans who I've seen a bagillion times!
I will say this, though... Thank The Metal Gods, as*clowns TeSLUG aren't on it! I may go on this on that fact alone!
They are brainwashing killers and that's obviously what Sheehan has done to you with his overplaying of bland mediocre hookless humorless edgeless middle of the road crap.
It is a religion in two senses: governmentally-sanctioned and philosophically-developed. It is recognized as the first in some countries and not in others. How it is categorized as regards the second is a matter of popular, and pertinent, debate. Older isn't better and newer isn't worse. Who founded what and said what is open for dispute. But Scientology fits the description regardless.
So the question is: what do you think about it? I tend to test it against William James's _Varieties of Human Experience_ (1901/02). I trust that no one here cares about that reference or my thoughts on it (plural: the concept of the religion).
