Buckcherry, 'Tight Pants' Is Not Good

The new Buckcherry album Rock n' Roll came out last week. "Tight Pants" is the new single... and yesterday the band released a video to support that track. I have to say both the song and the video are not good. That said, the video is way worse than the song. This is a big disappointment for me. Your opinion?

Buckcherry is all about being music made for poledancers.
I'd say they hit their target & cater to that demographic.

As for the song, it's no Bohemian Rhapsody, but it doesn't need to be.
We played, simplistic, with decent tones & a stinging guitar solo.

I give it a B.

Crazy Bitch was their accidental strop club gold song. What a great tune it is! Tight Pants is an intentional attempt to hit strip club legend status like Girls, Girls, Girls & Crazy Bitch.

This song is yet another example that you can't make "gold". It's a natural element and mineral that is rare and not easy to discover.

A couple of examples of bands trying too hard on a project and it falling a bit flat. Not saying these examples are bad music; they are simply forced: G N R Illusion I & II ( Axl so desired to make a timeless masterpiece.) Judas Priest Turbo: under pressure from record labels to fit into the mid '80's mold of hair, sex and pop metal Priest caved actually lost the Heavy Metal moniker and try so hard to hit a commercial grand slam.

***note*** I have these albums and was among the first to purchase them waaaay back. I love a lot of the material. It's just that they were thought about too much in the studio and that came across in the finished product.

This song is not bad as a goof. It should not be the single. I haven't heard the CD yet so I can't judge. BC are one of my favorite bands and I love all of their CD's. As a hetero male and an a** man, I like the video but it is cheesy just like the song.

Sounds like BC to me. Not great, not bad....average song. I like the concept of the vid but it could have been done better. My fav BC album is, and probably will always be, the one most hate...Black Butterfly.

No reason you have to get older and then find a conscience, just a little bit of 3 minutes of RnR with some horns thrown in.

The song was OK.
I really loved the video though, it has somewhat of a vintage sleazy glam metal vibe of to it.
Quite possibly the greatest Buckcherry video yet.

I wanted to like the song and the video, but neither one was very good, in my opinion. Sounded like a Vegas house band trying too hard.
Maybe on their next album, they could write a song called "Sports Bra."

Not big on this one. The Buckcherry records are always a big hit or big miss for me. Self titled debut is phenomenal. 15, Black Butterfly, and Confessions as well. Not big on this at all though.

As an owner of this album (as well as all their previous work) i can say this is def a strong release, but is far from Time Bomb, 15, or even their self titled effort. There are a few slow songs on Rock N Roll, but the majority of them rock pretty hard. Tight Pants is def the 'grooviest' track on the album. I recommend Bring it on Back, Sex Appeal or Get With It if you're looking for a quintessential BC track. These guys are one of the hardest working bands in the biz and i look forward to many more years of BC releases now that they have their own label. They refuse to confirm to 'pop rock' ala pop evil, Sixx am etc. I enjoyed this video, but i can def see it not being for everyone!
