Another Tour: Hall & Oates

Not Glam, not ashamed. Hall & Oates are touring this summer and I'm totally getting tickets when the on-sale starts Friday. The duo will play Riverbend in Cincinnati in July. I've always wanted to see Hall & Oates live. They have so many good songs, many of which really summed up the 80s pop scene. Good stuff. What do you think?

Here's an awesome version of "She's Gone" from a live performance in 1976. Dig the groove.

Sounds like fun Allyson. Enjoy. I agree they have a lot of really great songs.

One of THE Greatest Pop Songs of The 80's! The intro, the build, the chorus! It is a pure pop confection of perfection!

The first time I heard it, not yet 16, I damn near cried, realizing it was so epically beautiful, it was destined to be an instant #1 hit!

Geezus! One of THE Greatest Pop Tunes of The 70's! It's all become one big blur to me! Yet this is a song for the ages and they never topped it! And hardly anyone else did, either!

BTW, where the h*ll is everybody? Is everyone getting their MBA (Metal Bachelor of Arts) and it's finals week?

Aw, well look at the bright side, Rita! At last, we're finally alone together... with Allyson as our chaperone, obviously! ; )

Not that I would know, but it is mid-terms!

Sorry to bust in on your date, Metalboy! and Rita (hello).

Back to studying. I got my pencil . . .

. . . and these guys sure did know how to craft a catchy tune.

Really enjoy some of their later stuff, as well. Give "So Far Away" a listen. As a teenager who had just been dumped, it really hit home. Wish they would have had it on their most recent live release.

"So Close" is the actual name of the song. It was early.
