Just... Yikes

Check out this headline. Dee Snider really took a swipe at Vince Neil. Geez.

There's absolutely nothing Dee is saying here that isn't 100% true. And Vince didn't learn a damn thing from his murdering Razzle, & seriously injuring 2 other people in a VW Bug, (not a van). And being the jackass that he is, Vince was right back at the Rainbow, hammered drunk, the very next weekend, & driving away afterwards, impaired...

However, I don't understand why Dee is bringing it up again, now.
Movie to plug? Yeah, that's it...

He should stick to that, because "We Are Twisted F#%king Sister is a compelling story about that band's amazing quest to succeed & at that point they really were a phenomenon.

Dee needs to concentrate on his own thing & not compare it to someone else's band. His own story is good enough.

Not much to say that hasn't been said about the Razzle situation. Points to a two-tier system of justice where celebrity gets you passes others would never get. Sad situation all around.

Snider seems in recent years to be grasping at straws when it comes to staying in the spotlight. Plug your movie, cross your fingers on those cross-over tunes your are working on, and leave the mud-slinging for someone else. It doesn't suit you. Or, at least, it doesn't sit well with long-time fans who liked you for doing your talking on stage.

Agree with Ace.

30 years on c'mon Dee. You are proving your irrelevance.

Yep, I've been a huge fan of Twisted Sister since the late 70s, and this is just sad. Dee is trying desperately to stay in the spotlight, and comments like this, spot on as they are, stink of that desperation. the movie will be awesome though. Twisted Sister from about 1978 through the first half of 1983 were an absolute force to be reckoned with.

I mean, dee is right. But Jesus Christ. That was like 30+ years ago.

Dee's right but he's riding the Trumpian bandwagon where you say something outlandish on Twitter and other social media to then promote what you originally intended.

It's a new PR technique used instead of just the straight up promoting whatever news you wish to get out there, in this case about the movie.

For fear of that going unnoticed, he couples it with calling Neil an outright murderer. The words "Vince Neil Murderer" get the attention drawn to Snyder to plug his movie.

Crass but effective, welcome to the new news mashup of today.

I read the whole thing, and the way Dee explained, kind of sounded like he was upset that more people went to Motley than to Twisted Sister. Dee Snider is absolutely right, and even Vince would agree with him. He said in his autobiography that his short stint in jail did no good. Even though he was right, he's kept his mouth shut about it for 30 years, and this does seem like a way to plug his movie.

There is an absolute ART to verbally "pulling the pin on a hand grenade, rolling it in to the room & gently closing the door behind you".... DEE never learned that Art. He has always excelled at shouting down "the enemy" from his safe little fortress of being onstage in front of an adoring crowd of Twisted fans. Out on the open battlefield of public perception, Snider just comes off as a vindictive, bitter old has-been. And that really sucks... Especially to this club era Twisted fan.
