I Don't Remember This Ace Frehley Commercial

Apparently Ace Frehley made a commercial for Dunkin' Donuts a few years ago. It's basically ridiculous, as you would imagine. I'm sure a lot of KISS fans bought ice coffees just because of Ace!

Considering just how few records Frehley actually sold of his last release, It's not surprising that you never saw this 14 year old commercial before. And. he caught a world of legal shit for using the trademarked makeup design he doesn't own, after he was out of the band - again.

That's Fckn hilarious and great at the same time. I buy all aces records on vinyl. Just got the double space invader lp a couple months ago.

That was awesome. I loved it.

I always loved Ace and that cackle of his. If you guys haven't seen it, do yourselves a favour and YouTube Tomorrow with Tom Snyder. The episode with KISS is one of the funniest things I've seen in my whole life. Ace and Peter were so stoned and drunk and out of control and Paul and Gene were so pissed. It is classic

And I still love Ace to death but haven't listened to his newer stuff.

THIS is pricelessly hilarious! His explanation of the "P&L" says it all!

Hats off to the ad agency team who cooked this up!

AND good for Ace for having the b*lls to wear the make-up! Despite the copyright infringement, he still indirectly sold KISS albums with this commercial!

I'm confused as to how many records he sold of his latest release and how it anything to do with this commercial??? What a fantastically stupid statement Ace. What bands of this genre, outside of a select few, sell tons of records? I'm mean WTF!!! Ace is a legendary guitar player with a long history and legacy of great songs. Space Invader, as well as Anamoly, have some really good songs on them. This commercial is fun to me.

JAT. Since you asked, "Sauced Invader" sold about 24,000 copies. Total.

Boyz, Boyz, Boyz!!!... Remember, Ace, to JAT's point, it's not the quantity sold, it's the QUALITY... Especially if you're Ace Frehley, who doesn't really need the money.

Frehley's playing a bowling alley nearby in a little more than a week.
Good thing he doesn't need the money. ;)

And... if it's quality he was after, he probably should've looked a little further than his girlfriend, when looking for someone to write songs for him.

Latte soldiers come,
And latte soldiers go,
Some buy a glazed,
Some a donut hole.

Hahaha!!! You guys got me there. Still, JAT is somewhat right... Ace can come up with the occasional barnstormer.

Ace rules, and this commercial is intentionally hilarious, unlike when Paul Stanley tried to sell us coffee - which was unintentionally hilarious.

Nobody is really selling a ton of albums anymore, that being said "Space Invader"debuted in the top 10 Billboard Albums chart, so the thing didn't exactly flop.

Musically, I will take the most recent Frehley albums over Gene and Paul's recent releases with their KISS tribute.

I might actually agree with you, Mike, except for maybe "Hell Or Hallelujah" from KISS' last album, "Monster"... That is SO kicka*s, maybe one of their most kicka*s songs ever, so much so, there's been a lot of skuttlebut surrounding whether it's actually a new tune or something they pulled out from the vaults.
