SIXX: A.M. 'Rise' -- Official Premiere

The other day, I posted a video clip of SIXX: A.M. performing "Rise" live. The video was quickly removed. Now we get the official premiere of "Rise." The song is from the upcoming release Prayers For The Damned, which comes out April 29. What do you think?

Dj, I just bought Tailgun's new album, "comin' In Hot" the other day. You can really hear that they've got something going for themselves. they just need to hone their sound a bit, and maybe get a better producer for their next record, but the songs and the swagger are definitely there!

Score, DJ! I just copped Tailgun, "Comin' in Hot", too! Thanks for the excellent recommendation!

Man, are these guys obsessed with "Powerage" era AC/DC, or what? And I mean that as a compliment! Figures since they hail from Vegas. Totally hilarious lyrics, too! And there are some great videos (shot point blank, of course) of them playin' Vamp'd on YouTube.

Now I really wish I was goin' to see Gn'R! I would catch these guys if they were playin' while I was out there, for sure! Still could happen if I can get up the bucks in time.

Loaded Gun, Love and a .38 (who you had first mentioned awhile back)! You're killin' me, Bob! Sometimes a little rough around the edges is a good thing! Thanks!

Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown are one my new faves. They've been opening for AC/DC recently and seem to be the real rock deal (not necessarily glam).

If you're really into glam in the true sense of The Sweet, T-Rex, Mott the Hoople, etc., check out The Struts. To me, sounds like 70's glam meets late 80's/early 90's guitar pop. I've really enjoyed their new album Everybody Wants.

There really is some great stuff out right now. It's just hard to find in the U.S. I have some listening to do based on what everyone has mentioned.

Sorry for the back to back posts, but I forgot to address the initial song.

Snoozefest. Formulaic, boring and uninspired.

I like my music interesting. This is the opposite of that. Take away the Sixx name on this and it's instant craptastically boring new rock schlock.

But, hey, if you like it? More power to ya!

Glad you liked the suggestion, Metalboy! Nice that I can pay you back after all of your recommendations. After all, you got me started on my metal biography binge!

Mainly because although he's the one responsible for MC, he is also just as responsible for their downfall. I'll never forgive him for turning his back on the fans, Vince, Tommy, and Mick, in order to hook up with James Michael, and Ashba. The way he dropped his involvement with MC to ride the Sixx AM train, was absolutely sickening to me. Not only that but i can guarantee you that he was the main one responsible, for firing Vince back in the day. Which was probably the real end for MC, looking back. I wish all of them well except the ego maniacal Sixx!

Yes, CheapSeats! I've got The Struts! BTW, that kid is Freddie Mercury reincarnated!

Not sure if you will read this, bkallday, but thanks. That was a great reply. It gave me a window into your thinking on a topic that I know is close to you.

Even if I always pause before I write it, I will write it again: I think we are actually a lot closer in musical temperament than our occasional slap fights suggest.
