Def Leppard Announce Big Summer Tour

Who is heading to some of these shows this summer? Def Leppard is one of my favorite bands, period. I usually see them everytime they swing through town. I might sit this time out because I spent too much money on Guns n' Roses and Hall & Oates, but we'll see.

DEF LEPPARD have announced they will return to the road this summer for an extensive tour across North America due to overwhelming demand. The Live Nation promoted outing will storm through 55 cities across all parts of the U.S. and Canada.  It is set to kick off on May 1st in Orlando, FL and wrap on October 10th in Cedar Rapids, IA.  Joining Def Leppard on their mighty summer outing are REO Speedwagon and TESLA.   Tickets will go on sale starting on March 4th at Livenation.com.

Def Lep "DEFtly avoid playing Vegas once again, like they did on pretty much this same trek last year, & just like they did on the tour w/ KISS 2 summers ago... I guess they are hoping to build up interest for yet another residency @ the Joint at the Hard Rock... supposedly pencilled in for November... We'll see.

I find it hard to believe there is overwhelming demand. It seems like they have been touring the last 5 summers

Def Leppard is just one of those bands that can get away with touring every summer. I think they've done a summer tour every year since 2012. They have come here every year and I've missed them every time. I think I might go this year. I couldn't care less about REO Speedwagon though.

The best thing about this story is that there is _actually_ a place called Taco Bell Arena! How is it possible that GnR aren't playing there!??!

Seriously, though, I think Def Leppard have settled into a groove of being metal's answer to Steve Miller. There are problems with that comparison though. I won't bother to articulate them, save to say that they favor the latter over the former.

And REO? Guilty. I love their cheesy stuff. Just wish Richrath has stuck around longer and not died so sadly. Tesla? Like a few of the song. Not as many as Metalboy!, mind you. But a couple.

Hahahaha!!! Now THAT is TRULY hilarious, HIM!

And I mean, twice!

"And if-ah you are-ah ready-ya, I am-ah able-ah..."

God bless, Richrath... He added the b*lls that toddler lacked to make REO Chuckwagon the juggernaut of mediocrity it was.

p.s. Always loved REO's band name, though. It's just a shame they weren't ever able to live up to it.
