Happy Anniversary, BBG!

Today is the 12th anniversary of this site, which is pretty unreal. When I started BBG! back in December of 2006 I had no idea I'd keep this going daily for well more than a decade and beyond. Heck, I'll be celebrating my wedding anniversary Friday -- that is up to 16 years. Pretty wild for me to think I've been with BBG! almost as long as Eric!

Hopefully this site brings you some joy and amusement from time to time. Or at least a place to bicker about the quality of Too Fast For Love for Generation Swine. I mean, where else are you going to get that on the Internet without being subjected to a million take-over ads or worse?

Bring Back Glam! has always been about narrative and personal reflections. I love when you share your memories in the comments, especially about shows I wish I'd been able to attend.

Here's to another 12 years!

I was so impressed when I first found this site (10 years ago, I believe) because you were a 20-something girl who hadn't lived through the glam metal l days like some of us did. I loved that you had such amazing taste in music.

Allyson, its hard to believe you have kept this site going for so long. Original material everyday, great writing, and a true love for music in general. Late to the party, but I agree with everyone on here. And that is, I think, the point. We have our squabbles. We get into it occasionally. But we love what you do Allyson.

As I mentioned last year, I was also late to the BBG! party. And I learned fairly quickly that I had a lot to learn about the music that mattered to me. In the process, I came to know some of you personally. And I still love tussling with a lot of you anonymously! Heck, I love it all.

This site helped me when I was down (a few years ago and quite recently). Allyson has been gracious enough to let me post a fair share of thoughts. And I am happy that a day doesn't go by when I don't know that BBG! is there to provide me with lots of laughs, many surprises, and a fair share of great discussions.
