'The Devil You Know' -- Official Video

L.A. Guns released their new album The Devil You Know on Friday. The band also debuted an official video for that title track as well. You can see that video below.

I certainly like the song better than the video, to be honest. The song doesn't sound particularly Glam but I think it does fit with the band's sound somehow. What do you think?

You mean, THE Jason Mayer?!?! The visual effects fellow who brought us such joy with _Stealth_(?!?!) and _The Croods_(?!?!)?

Well, you knew it was gonna be good. Right? I wonder what the pay scale was for this feast of visual pleasure. It looks like low-rent Ti West. Yes, that is a very subtle reference. But it works. How about a lower-rent Ghost pre-release video? That is a bit more on the nose. But, again, it works.

The song is a sludge-fest. That appeals to some. Not to others. Not exactly the vibe I expect from LA Guns. Then again, when you pair Phil and Tracii at this late stage in their career, quite a few will cheer regardless. And Phil's shirt isn't riding up. So that is a good thing. They seem to be living the life of Riley these days, albeit without the selfsame fellow.

Holy Sh*t! I just read on Metal Sludge Guns and Lewis kissed and made up with Riley and will join him at M3 with Kelly Nickels in tow!

With Pilson also rejoining the reunited Dokken, I’m definitely going to M3 now!

Ugh. Just not feeling the new stuff. Not The Missing Peace and def not this new one. And i loved most of their stuff up to those cds. Lewis is delusional af though. He wants to slag the Crue for covers??? At least the Crue is a renowned act. LA Guns, who i like but ive gotta keep it real, theyve never been a relevant act. Sorry Phil, but its true. And all of this getting rid of long time members so you or tracy can take the lion's share of money, is just straight up wack and doesnt help matters. Kinda like when Phil tries to act like he's in shape, and wears a tight t shirt that shows off his man boobs and turkey neck. Yuck!

This record just isnt very good, sadly. The last one 'Missing Peace' was incredible. This one is just flat.

The video is SO horrible, it’s great! Totally campy, Ed Wood style.
