Crazy Lixx, 'Break Out' -- Official Video

One of my favorite modern Glam bands is Crazy Lixx! The Swedish band has a new song called "Break Out" from the upcoming album Forever Wild. The album is due May 19 via Frontiers. You can pre-order the album by clicking the album cover at the right.

Overall, I like it even if it is a little Leppardy. Geez, did Phil Collen produce these guys, too?!

The song’s actually pretty good ... just one chord change away from being truly great like some of their earlier stuff, but alas, it somehow never comes.

And the video is a little too much with the saccharine good times Party Metal vibe. Watching it makes you wish bands like this could draw large crowds here in the states like they do in Barcelona, one of the locations featured here.

Also, once you see all the brand logos at the end, you realize what you’ve been watching is Corporate Rock through and through which was not always the case back when they first started around a dozen years ago.

Still, “new” Glam Metal is pretty hard to come by so I’ll take it, corporate sponsorships and all, knowing full well I’ll always make sure they get on my Favorite Albums of Whatever Year list whenever they put out a new album.

Actually one of the best new hair metal tunes I have heard in a long time. Thanks for posting! I will check out all there earlier work also.
