'Girls Like Me' -- New Video

More new music this summer! The Ron Keel Band just released a video for their track "Girls Like Me." The song is from the album Fight Like A Band. As of 9:30 p.m. ET last night, the video only had 294 views. Give the clip some love and a watch!

Omg. Horrible. My eyes and ears are painfully burning so badly right now, after watching that. Should've done a much better job of finding actual attractive women, IF thats what hes going for. Hopefully i wont trigger anyone with this comment but if i do, ill go ahead & apologize now.

Aesthetics aside I have always liked Ron Keel -- this one has a nice touch of Molly Hatchet in the sound and Ron Like Brett has no problem reaching into other genre's to make some noise and $$. I like Fight like a Girl as well off the latest offering. It is not the Right to Rock but I like it.

Wait! Did Brett Michaels grow a beard?

I’m with BK all the way on this, Shawn.

There’s a way to do Cowboy Metal and this ain’t it!

I’ll take ZZ Top, Badlands, Junkyard, Four Horseman, Dangerous Toys, or the more recent Texas Hippie Coalition over this any day. Plus do I really need egocentric lyrics like this? “Girls Like Me”? C’mon, Seriously.

I once told Ron Keel personally, on The Monsters of Rock Cruise awhile back, I thought he was a great songwriter but obviously he’s been hangin’ out in Nashville too long because this is only just a little bit better than the crap Breck Michaels has been shoveling on us ever since he turned to the Hick-Rock formula he schticks to these days.

MB I hear you, for me its just the voice of 1985 that rings in my ears. Just desperate I guess for something to hang onto. Yes Ron is just like Brett - You have mentioned THC several times and I took a listen - what a great band. They come up in this area from time to time I plan on seeing them next chance I get. We have a local guy here that produces a TV show for bikers (loose term) and interviewed the Lead Singer from THC I was impressed by his attitude and depth as a person.

Awesome, Shawn! I gotta catch THC, too! Can’t believe I’ve missed ‘em when they’ve come around to my area. What a voice that dude has and their stuff is heavy, catchy and the best part, FUNNY!

As far as KEEL goes, I do respect him, regardless of his cash grab here. He’s sort of overlooked but just think about all the amazing stuff he’s done. STEELER AND KEEL!
