Exit 111 Festival Looks Amazing - New Trailer

Is anyone going to the Exit 111 fest in Manchester, Tennessee? This promo looks amazing. Guns n' Roses and Def Leppard will headline, among some other awesome acts. There's other stuff took like motorcross and a car show. I would pass on that, but my husband loves those things. The fest is set for October 11-13, which means the weather should be gorgeous and you should see some changing leaves too. Tickets are on sale now and camping is available. I wish I was doing this, but my festival days are probably behind me at this point.
Less than 25 days till @Exit111Fest 💥 Catch us on Saturday night - right in the middle an epic weekend of rock, motocross demos, paranormal circus shows, and even a car show (all included with admission). Learn more at https://t.co/7MNvJ1X0dU pic.twitter.com/xZb8EenQOC

Also saw Fever 333 open for Alice in Chains a few weeks back (I won't say opened for Korn, because, for me, Alice were the headliners even if I get why Korn continues to be popular). I enjoyed them more than Underoath, the other opener (not sure I have ever seen a Christian Metalcore band before, but this was a fine introduction). Energetic, just not my cup of tea. They and Underoath seemed to be celebrating the end of a really good tour (it was the last show), what with the silly string and shout-outs and whatnot. Crowd seemed to enjoy them as well.
But if I were to pick, I would go with Nothing More. They were a surprise I wasn't expecting (see what I did there?) and had the difficult task of opening for Ghost (who were, for the most part, amazing).
That's the great thing about concerts . . . you get to see a bunch of stuff you might not have ever seen (or heard) before. And I try to keep an open mind, especially as my teeth get longer and my eyes get more jaundiced. But I did step out of the nursing home to write this. So there is hope for me, right?
[Complete sidebar: Also saw Joyous Wolf open for Deep Purple recently. What an energetic Van Fleet-esque band, but with something I find more engaging . . . and that isn't just their cover of "Mississippi Queen." Not sure if they will make it given the market these days. But they really brought it. And they also stayed around and signed things, took photos, and talked to the fans even after Purple were done. Kudos to Purple as well for bringing a young band out with them. More established acts should do that more consistently (I am looking at you KISS) as they head toward the door. Speaking of which, Purple were--again--in great form (I saw them last summer/fall and they, quite frankly, kicked Priest in the pants, even if Priest was in better form on their recent run with Heep). Gillan is doing (and looking) better than he has done in years, and really working with the range he has these days. Paice is fun to watch. Glover does his thing, bandana-affixed. Airey is a great replacement for Lord, who reminds you why the organ/keys are so important to the Purple sound. And Morse, though not Blackmore, is magical on the guitar. This is a legacy act that is supporting new bands and doing well by their history. . . while all of them are in, or close to, their 70s.]
Without knowing it, thanks EddieLongHair. You provoked me to share some memories from a summer that involved no less than eight concerts (also Steve Miller and Marty Stuart, Noel Gallagher and His High Flying Birds and the Smashing Pumpkins, ELO (full stop!), and Fates Warning and Queensryche, among others). A good reason to share, methinks.
All the best to everyone. And I do mean everyone. Again, I pick my spots. I post less. But I love this site and what people do to make it special.
