Vinnie Moore Tutorial

Vinnie Moore is an amazing guitarist. He's in UFO and has a new album coming out next month. I love the Facebook account All That Shreds - the folks behind the page post all sorts of amazing, old clips. Here's a little clip of Vinnie showing off his talent. I'll be listening to UFO today at work. I'm so glad it is Friday!

I still remember getting Mind's Eye when in came out in '86. What can I say? As a young man with no musical talent, I was amazed by the shred-stars of my youth. For my dumb ears, those guys 'unleashed the ----ing fury!!!" I still go back and occasionally dip into the nostalgia well to listen to Moore, Malmsteen, Becker, and Gilbert.

Moore was, and is, amazing. UFO (Mogg Inc.) are lucky to have him. I only wish he were in a band that better highlighted his talents. Perhaps that will happen soon enough with UFO finally getting grounded once the Last Orders tour is completed.

Glad to see you reappear!

I saw UFO with Moore on The Monsters of Rock Cruise a few years ago.

Talk about a shredathon, HIM, he tore the sky off! I would have said “roof” but they played the stage on the upper deck.

I asked Eddie Chump who hosted that cruise, and I’m sure got UFO to play it, since he is a HUGE UFO fan, if Moore had been in any other bands, to which Chump replied a resounding “NO!”

He must have not understood my question as the man played in Alice Cooper and can be heard on Cooper’s 1991 gem, “Hey Stoopid”, as well as played in the bands Vicious Rumors and Red Zone Riders.

Can’t wait to hear the new one!
