'Right Now' - 2020 Version

Van Halen has been playing a lot in my house recently because Eric has been on a Van Hagar kick. In his mind, the only true Van Halen is when Sammy was at the helm. I know that is an argument for another day! That said, I've heard "Right Now" quite a few times over the past two weeks or so.

Now, Sammy Hagar and The Circle have a new quarantine video for "Right Now" and I must say it sounds great. I can't believe how well Sammy's voice is holding up after all these years and there is no denying Michael Anthony's backing talents, either! A great tune for a nice weekend.

I hate this song and this version of this song, even more. Sorry but just my opinion. Btw I love both VH eras & still listen to all their stuff, sans their last few putrid releases, of course. Different strokes for different folks I guess. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was going to make a few other comments re: the posts. But I will let it go. Besides, DLR was urging us to keep our distance and do delivery or take-away years ago: "Give me a bottle of anything...and a glazed doughnut...to go." The guy has wisdom. He does not, however, have his original hair!

Agree, Gary. Mr. Anthony was the glue that held together the hoots and hollers of DLR in his prime, and a supremely capable backing set of pipes during the days of Hagar and Cherone.

To be fair, Cherone is a great singer and EVH did have drinking problem. But the one doesn't cancel out the other. Simply put, he was a bad (really bad) fit at a time when VH was imploding.
