Aerosmith Postpones 50th Anniversary Show

I kept waiting on this news and here it is: Aerosmith has officially postponed their 50th anniversary show at Fenway Park. The gig was originally set for September 18th but with Covid19, we all knew it wouldn't happen. I am happy to hold on to these tickets because the show is rescheduled for September 14, 2021. I will be spending my afternoon fighting with Delta to get my money back (wish me luck!) and I am annoyed I moved over valuable Chase Ultimate Rewards points to book nights at a Hyatt in Boston, but whatever. The summer of no fun continues. Stay salty, my friends. Wear a damn mask.

Ally. I was astounded, but we had zero problems getting a refund from American Airlines for our flights to Jamaica back in early May when my daughters wedding had to be cancelled due to this. (Sandals was actually more of a “posterior annoyance”. Lol )

If you do have a hassle, I’d mention the fact that you have a rather large internet presence between your job, this site, etc. Trust me, they’ll refund your money and throw you some miles. People WILL remember who played nice and who was corporate assclowns when this all finally shakes out. Sorry about the concert. I’d be cheesed off also. Stay safe and hang in there. 🤟

Wise words wonderfully wrought, Gary. You are a rhetorical beacon in cloudy times! A posterior such as myself always enjoys your thoughts.

Personally, I have found--after the initial "Wha?!?!" in March--that most corps. are being careful and generous with refunds. Because they care? In some cases, sure. In most cases, because they need good PR in these frantic times and know that customers remember.

Let us know how it goes, Allyson.

Update - I called Delta and they helped me quickly. So that is done at least! - Allyson

Great news, Allyson.

Among the legacy carriers, I find that Delta is fairly reasonable (and I had to deal with them due to some COVID-related cancellations).

Thanks for letting us know.

@Him. Alliteration. It’s not just for breakfast anymore!

@Allyson. Cool. I figured they’d play nice with you. (And if not, you could’ve went ahead and released “a swirling torrent of pain and misery” via your media presence). 😁

Man, they are gonna ROCK Fenway! ... Something to look forward to during these times of postponed memories ...

Just think, if EVERYONE would have been embracing MASKS at the outset, they maybe could have rescheduled this sooner.

As it stands now, current projections show this concert may have to be postponed even longer.

Like Allyson says, wear the frickin’ masks!

Your only biting yourselves in the derrière if you don’t ...

IDEA: KISS should throw a special live stream remote concert, a la what the MORC acts have been doing of late, or with each individual member self isolating while they perform together.

The concert could be billed as “KISS Masked”, as a twist on the name of the KISS album, “Unmasked” ... The promo online ads and posters could feature a recreation of the original album cover with it’s iconic group portrait but now showing all the band members photoshopped to be donning 3M N95 masks.

Get 3M to sponsor it and give out a ton of masks. Maybe as part of the pay per view package, they could send a mask with every ticket purchase and / or offer special deals.

It’s a win-win-win ... Think about it ... KISS generates HUGE awareness for wearing face masks, 3M sells some masks and EVERYONE has the chance to see KISS live!

Of course, the question is do $immons & Co. advocate the use of masks or are they idiots like the others who don’t think MASKS need to be worn.

Only time will tell because of they don’t, they could be filling those limited edition signature KISS Koffins a lot sooner than they planned!

Oh, and it should ALL be done for charity!
