Picture it: The Netherlands. Local boys Golden Earring are enjoying the success of their track "Twilight Zone." Time to hit the shows and do some live performances!

Every day at work, I pick a song of the day. Today, "Twilight Zone" won the honor. Things really are nuts at work these days, so the theme fits for sure. Golden Earring is definitely underrated.

I always wondered how band that lip sing these performances muffle the drum sound. I mean it's clear that the guitars aren't being played live, but the drums?. Serious question.

Golden Earring IS killer! … I’ll NEVER forget hearing the extended version of “Radar Love” for the first time on the local AM radio when I was 12 years old … Cut to 25 years later when I saw White Lion perform that very same song live at The Cat Club in 1989!

this band confused me big time. i only knew the two obvious songs until i found a 2-cd greatest hits set. it was like they had no idea what musical direction they wanted to go for the first 10 years. but i dug it, and to be together 60 years is amazing. i’ll still associate twilight zone with baseball games cuz they played it at every game i went to as a youth.
