Life Turns On A Dime

It's been a rough couple of weeks. Eric has not been doing well health-wise and we spent Friday in the emergency room. Before that, Kari suffered an injury and was out for Vegas. Eric was feeling better by yesterday morning and said he still wanted to see Aerosmith. Fine. Unbeknownst to me that while I writing my hopeful Aerosmith post for yesterday, my girlfriend Christa was dead. She was also going to meet us in Vegas for the residency.

Christa was a wonderful woman who injected energy into every room she entered. She dedicated her life to improving her community. To say her death is a shock is an understatement. My brain feels like scrambled eggs and I have had about 24 hours to process the news. I found out on Facebook, because 2019 I guess. She was young and this isn't supposed to happen.

I can't go see Aerosmith without her this week. We were friends for about two decades, dating way before this website was even an idea. She had a huge passion for music and could hear literally any song one time and immediately remember the words and melody. She could probably pick up her french horn and play it for you too!

Don't take anything for granted.

Aerosmith Las Vegas Residency Begins Tonight

It's finally time for Aerosmith "Deuces are Wild" Las Vegas residency to begin! I have tickets for next Saturday night.

Now the countdown is on until we get reviews and the setlist. I'm very nervous about the setlist - here's hoping for tons of classic 'smith and not much else. Enjoy this behind-the-scenes rehearsal video:

Quintessential rock band Guns N’ Roses, notorious for their larger-than-life, bombastic shows that engulf every fan, are the first act to be announced for the return of Louder Than Life. This year the festival will be headed to its new home at the Highland Festival Grounds At KY Expo Center on Friday, September 27, Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29.

This will mark the debut of the Guns N’ Roses lineup at the Louder Than Life festival and is the first appearance for the rock giants since performing in Hawaii in December 2018 in association with the Andy Irons Foundation. "There are only a handful of bands through the years whose music not only resonates with fans, but changes the entire face of rock ‘n' roll. Guns N' Roses is one of those true icons,” says festival producer Danny Wimmer. “Every year we want to come back bigger and better, and we can't wait to welcome Axl, Slash, Duff and the rest of GN'R to the Louder Than Life stage."
